   It's one of the best places in Raleigh, and I am sad to see it go. Thank you for always being a lovely place with delicious food and superb service. You shall be missed!

   We are so sad to hear that 42nd Street will be closing. We have many wonderful memories as do a lot of other people. The line outside when we arrived for those who didn't have reservations was a testament to how much this place is loved. People waiting 2 to 3 hours to have a last meal. We were lucky enough to snag a reservation. While the food was impeccable, I have to say that having our last meal served by Zoe was the icing on the cake. She was attentive, happy, smiling even though she was getting pulled in a million different directions. We had oysters, bacon wrapped scallops, crab legs, ahi tuna, peel and eat shrimp, filet, mahi - you name it. Everything was delicious and served hot. Congratulations to 42nd Street on their long run in a difficult industry. Would surely love a little memento after you close.

   42nd Street Oyster Bar has been a staple in Raleigh, NC and is one of the oldest restaurants in Raleigh. The customer service is top-notch. The food is excellent. Management runs this place like a well oiled Ship. We have enjoyed it for many years and had many celebrations! We certainly will miss it when it closes at the end of March.  We wish the staff all the best! Thank you for making our years of celebrating absolutely wonderful!!

   As usual, the food and service was outstanding. As a Raleigh native, I am saddened by the loss of so many of our long standing institutions. 42nd Street you will missed!

    Great last dining experience. Food was terrific and our table was ready when promised for the reservation. Certainly will miss the hushpuppies, great seafood, and fun atmosphere. It’s been a Raleigh institution for so long and a terrific place for our family to celebrate birthdays. We will miss it!
