You'll find chef driven cuisine coupled with exemplary service in a sophisticated and modern aquatic atmosphere at the Clayton restaurant across the street from its sister, 801 Chophouse.     Our server did the best she could under the circumstances that she had no one busing her table. She did all the waters and refills and clearing all the dishes and only after having to find her to ask. She had little time to come by and get us drink refills. The bar was so slow which made it even take longer since we had empty drinks for a bit before we could find her to ask for more drinks. The three hosts/hostesses did not help any of their wait staff and the food runners did not either. She brought us the bill before asking us about dessert. It really ruined the dinner. All she could say was they were busy. They had no helpful support staff I really felt for her. The food was good though.

    Party of 3 adults on Christmas Eve: appetizers Tempura Shrimp and Shisito Peppers - 5 stars. New England Clam Chowder 4 stars. Caesar Salad- 5 stars but needed more lemon. Entrees: lobster fried rice-4 star. Lobster Risoto-5 star. Salmon Special-2 Stars-great flavor but over cooked even though I asked for it to be rare. Service- 3 stars- waiter was loud and only filled our champagne glasses once from the bottle. Ambience/Noise Level-4 stars. Value: wine list was over priced, more than 2 times if you bought it at a store, but probably customary for some (but not all) high end restaurants. I should have ordered the Cioppino.

    They were understaffed and we didn’t receive all our food + sat 1.5 hours before putting our entree orders in.

    Anniversary meal. Seated in 2top next to a booth of 4 men. Dining room 1/2 full with many tables and booths available all night. Hostess could have better training about how to handle situations. Other than that everything was fine. Food good.

    The food was delicious our server Sam was great. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a seafood dinner in STL.

    Outstanding meal at 801 Fish. The lobster bisque, swordfish and bread pudding were all superb and my server Jacob was outstanding. Will be going back very soon!
