The 8th Street Steakhouse has the finest dry-aged handcrafted steaks from Colorado Buffalo, Prime-grade NY strips, 18 oz. Bone-in Ribeye, bacon-wrapped filets to Wagyu Kobe Beef. With steaks starting at $23.95, including unlimited house salad and Texas toast, this is truly a restaurant not to be missed!!

With a magnificent Western ambience, our restaurant is focused around our two 20-foot lava rock grills where our patrons season and sauté their steaks to perfection. Our unique dining style is perfect for wedding rehearsals, ski clubs, team functions, corporate events, or any other reason your group of 20 to 150 is not only looking for a great steak, but a great experience to go along with it!!! Our upstairs balcony seating is perfect for groups of any size and offers private salad bar, meat case, and grill. Our unique grill-your-own style allows guests a more "social" dining experience typically preferred with large parties. We also have the ability to create a menu to fit any group size and budget.

If staying at a hotel that offers free shuttle service, using it is highly recommended as parking is limited downtown. If driving is the only option, we do recommend parking on the East side of Lincoln Ave. (i.e. from mountain area, drive Hwy 40 into downtown Steamboat Springs, take right on 8th Street, park, walk back over Lincoln Ave).
Public transit
City buses stop on 7th & Lincoln. We are one block up on the corner of 8th & Lincoln. All shuttle services from hotels typically drop you off within 1 block of restaurant (either an odd or even street depending on your hotel.)

In all the years we’ve been coming to Steamboat, we’ve never eaten at 8th Street Steakhouse! We really missed the boat on this one. What an awesome fun experience. Great food, great service, awesome rustic environment and no one to blame if your steak/chicken/seafood/hamburger isn’t cooked properly since you can’t follow directions, ie you cook your own entree! Awesome experience! Can’t wait to come back!

This family run gem is a can’t miss coming to steamboat! Family owned and operated, this I restaurant offers a unique experience you can’t get any where else. It was our wife and I’s 10 Year anniversary and they helped us celebrate it in style! What a treat, great people great food, don’t miss it.

We had a wonderful dining experience at 8th Street Steakhouse! We arrived early and were seated promptly. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a new experience for us selecting our steak from the display, receiving instructions on how to cook the steak, cooking the steak on the grill (along with the Texas toast). The steak was just as delicious as we had hoped. The sides were also delicious. And Brie, our server, was very kind and helpful!

Service was hit and miss. They brought our salad, but no dressing and not enough plates. They were really vague about how to order our meal. We were seated upstairs and they weren’t stocked well up there. Staff seemed to want to go home at 8pm on Saturday night rather than help us. We did have a large party, but it was pretty loud and hard to hear. We did enjoy ourselves and the food, but …
