Whether for a special celebration, or simply the pleasure of a quintessentially English ritual performed with unparalleled attention to detail, Afternoon Tea at The Lanesborough is an occasion to be treasured. Mere moments from Knightsbridge and leafy Hyde Park just across the road, The Lanesborough is the ideal choice for afternoon tea in London.

Served daily in the majestic, naturally-lit surroundings of the hotel’s dining room, The Lanesborough Grill, afternoon tea is accompanied by a pianist at weekends.

Please view the menus below to find out which afternoon tea menu is served on your booking date.

Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal menus are also available. Please notify the restaurant of any dietary requirements or allergies with a minimum of 48 hours in advance of your booking.

A children's menu is available and is charged at £50 per child. If your booking includes children please make a note in your booking.

                                                                *Afternoon tea - Vegan menu. The Lanesborough decor, ambiance and service were second to none. All of the members of staff we encountered were friendly, polite and engaged with us throughout our visit. The service in particular was impeccable and at no point were we left waiting or wanting for anything. Unfortunately, as is the case with many vegan offerings, flavour and texture were sacrificed. Particularly disappointing were the scones, which had a distinctive taste and were not sweet enough. On a more minor note, when serving vegan cream, it looses its integrity if left to get to room temperature. One of the pastries (had candy stripes) was very disappointing in terms of taste. We came with high expectations given the venue and sadly they were not met.

                                                                Staff was very friendly and attentive. We went on Christmas Eve and the decorations were beautiful. The food was fantastic. Highly recommend.

                                                                Great experience, took my wife for her birthday. Great food, loved the turkey sandwiches. Only wished they would have recognised my wife her birthday as they did ask for the occasion both on the table and during the reservation.
