Al's has defined fine-dining in St. Louis for 100 years; a beloved landmark that earned its reputation as one of the top restaurants in the U.S. Featuring award-winning steaks, lobster, seafood and pasta, Al's creates the total dining experience. Fresh menu presentation, elegant tableside service, beautiful ambiance, generous portions and excellent wine list are the standard. Traditional offerings plus signature dishes like, "Beef Romano". Bananas Foster is a must for a rich after dinner indulgence, or perhaps one of our coffee specialties. 3rd & 4th generations of the Barroni family invite you to join us for a nightly celebration of outstanding food, wine and ambiance.

The food and service were outstanding and the 100 year history of Al's is such a great story and added touch to the whole experience. We sat at the Sinatra table - how cool was that! We'll be back.

Our server was knowledgeable, attentive and enjoyable. Steaks were seasoned and cooked a perfect medium rare as requested. Had to have an after dinner drink at the bar that is amazing with an impressive collection of bourbons.

                                                                                                                                                                                          This was our first time at Al’s and we had heard so many wonderful stories of the place and it did not disappoint. This is a St. Louis landmark. Almost 100 years old. The old school service and decor made for a memorable evening. The escargot, steaks and Bananas Foster were all delicious. This is a great place for a special event. We will be back!

I just went and had a quick drink at the very awesome bar with my new buddy Gary. Reservation still needed. This is a reservation only spot. I love it. Almost 100 years old. Such an institution.

                                                                                                                                                                                          We were the only 2 people in the entire place from 5:30-7:40pm; a lonely dining experience except for the waiter that barely left our table. He share historical info about the place almost the entire meal, leaving little opportunity for romantic banter with my date. My strip stake had good flavor but was so tough I felt like I might choke trying to swallow it. The wine selection was limited and in my opinion low quality wines. The cooked carrots were great and so was the Caesar salad but for $440, this is not a restaurant I will try again.
