Located at 26 East 64th Street, Altesi Madison is one of the two restaurants of Altesi Group, serving lunch and dinner (as well as Saturday & Sunday brunch). Our recipes are rooted in Italy’s rich culinary tradition and the freshest seasonal ingredients. My husband and I ate here for restaurant week last Thursday unfortunately we didn’t know they had the charity for the fires in LA on February 3. However, I had a wonderful octopus carpaccio. My husband had a wonderful fried shrimp appetizer. I had the scallops with Kotchie Pepe risotto and my husband had the veal with eggplant and prosciutto. I had the tiramisu for dessert and my husband had chocolate cake love the fact that they offer wines by the quarto Another thing we liked about this restaurant is it was elegant and tables were not crunched together. We’re relatively new to the neighborhood and live only about four blocks away so this will become a go to place for us.

This was a fundraiser for the LA wildfires and it was fabulous! The food and atmosphere were wonderful and we can’t wait to go back!

Paolo the owner is the most gracious host. He has the finest chef. He even serves all his wines in lead free glasses in which you truly taste the difference when drinking wine from his fine wine collection. My wife and I have been going here over ten years. It’s one of our favorite restaurants in Manhattan. I give this restaurant 6 stars.

What a treat it was to spend my final night in NYC enjoying a fabulous meal at Altesi Madison. The service was great and the ambience, cozy. Charming, tasty thin bread sticks awaited me at the table, along with a tasty hummus-like dip. I started off the meal with Insulata Orto, a delicious and generous portion of shaved brussel sprouts, thinly sliced red apple, parmigiano, and pecans, tossed in a light, lemon-honey dressing. Being a fish lover, I had Grigliatadi Pesce for my entre, which included the most tender and delicous octopus I have ever had, along with lightly grilled shrimp, scallops, and cuttlefish. This feast left me too full for dessert. And the price was right-no more than a typical, good restaurant where I come from in L.A.

This is a neighborhood restaurant where food very good best lamb chops Appetizers very good Cappuccino out of this world. Color scheme and restaurant very pleasing as is service. We keep going back. They have their menu and always specials. A suggestion is serve biscotti w coffee/tea even if desert not ordered. A nice touch
