Situated beside a creek, with a large dining room built out overlooking a waterfall, Ancaster Mill is in demand year-round for weddings, family or corporate events and celebrations. Restored to keep its authentic character intact, this is a place where ambience fuses with fine food and great service.                             Christmas eve dinner was very mediocre. Service was exceptionally slow. Poor value. Just a very average meal with poor service in a beautiful setting.

                            Sunday Supper family style was terrific. Lamb shank was tasty and hearty. Vegetables cooked to perfection. Salad was great and rosemary butter with fresh bread made my day. So to top it off we sat in the falls room on a snowy night. I’m coming back soon. Thanks for a leisurely paced meal. Not fast service. Hallelujah.

                            Although we were pre warned prime rib would only be served as medium ,the roast was served very rare and only warm. This was very disappointing as we were looking forward to this birthday celebrating meal. With past experiences their prime rib was very good. I now question if we will return sadly.

                            Good selection for brunch lots of oysters and seafood. And great to see a few new items since the last visit. Great views with the panoramic windows.

                            The food variety is ample and delicious! The servers are pleasant and attentive and are quick to refill your drink of choice. We were there for brunch the Sunday before Christmas so it was extremely busy and noisy but still a delightful afternoon in a beautiful setting.

                            Such a fabulous treat to enjoy the varied buffet from oysters to gourmet cheese and meats to freshly made omelettes and crepes of your choice to eggs Benny, salmon, prime rib and so much more - and oh yes , the home baked desserts. Such a value with bottomless mimosas and cesars. All with a view to the historic setting and falls. Great value - nothing is spared and service is impeccable!
