Our Sunday Supper is a 3-course menu of chef curated dishes served family style at your table.                                                   A great experience, but the pricing is a bit extreme. They had lots of options which was amazing, but I feel for $75 plus tax a person, I was underwhelming for sure.

                                                  We had a wonderful brunch today! The variety and quality of foods was outstanding, it is like no other brunch we have experienced. The prime rib and pecan pie were our favourites and the scones were so original with the delicious jams. This was our first time at the Ancaster Mill for brunch, we will definitely be back!

                                                  Was disappointed in my levels. To start, our waiter wasn’t personable and basically just wanted to take our full order and be done with us. Not once did he ask us how our food was as he passed the table, other runners dropped our food off and took our plates away. The food had no flavour and lacked any type of seasoning as it was being made. Also as it was a set menu, it’s as the food was already made and just sat until orders were placed. The Ancaster Mill has always been a higher end more prestigious place to go for dinner, but honestly I would rather just go to the KEG as the service is better and the food has flavour. The Ancaster Mill has not kept up to the standard they once had and I will not be returning here to be disappointed yet again.

                                                  I went to have my pre- birthday lunch with my husband. It was the next day of Valentine’s Day and still they had Valentine’s Day special 3 course lunch, which we chose. Everything was perfect for celebrating my birthday. Beautiful service, gorgeous food and breathtaking views! Will come back for another celebration.

                                                  The surroundings of the restaurant are spectacular. From the waterfall to the beautiful walkways and bridges. Food was good but not great, especially for the value. We went on V-day so the mark up was expected. Would be good to go on a standard day to explore the menu.

                                                  Disappointing Experience at a Favorite Spot Celebrating 33 Valentine’s Days together, this evening was more about us than the restaurant itself. However, the experience still matters, and unfortunately, this visit to the Ancaster Old Mill fell short of expectations. When making our reservation, we were asked if we had any seating requests. We specifically requested a table by the windows with a view of the waterfall. Instead, we were seated in a corner with a wall of snow and a buried evergreen as our backdrop. While it was pretty, it wasn’t the view we had hoped for. To make matters worse, we were positioned right at the entrance where servers were constantly coming in and out. As we were leaving, we noticed several empty tables with the view we had originally requested, which made our seating assignment even more disappointing. On top of that, my shrimp was undercooked. I let our server know, and she asked if I wanted a replacement. I declined in the moment, but in hindsight, she should have either brought out properly cooked shrimp or at least acknowledged the issue when we left. We have celebrated many special occasions at the Ancaster Old Mill and never expected to have such a poorly situated table or an issue with our meal go unresolved. While the evening was still special because of who I was with, the overall experience was underwhelming.
