Having opened its doors in 2010, Angels with Bagpipes quickly established itself as one of the finest restaurants to have graced Edinburgh’s most iconic and historic street, The Royal Mile. With upmost pride in sourcing fresh Scottish ingredients.
Mixing an atmospheric Old Town setting with chic, contemporary looks, the restaurant reflects many of the city’s most defining features. With a humble facade nestled in the beautiful 17th century building, rich tones of bronze and marble cascade throughout the two tiers of Angels with Bagpipes.

                                              Loved our dinner! We were at the castle lights and got a text to say our table was ready! Earlier than planned but suited us as we were cold and almost done at the castle. We headed down and were greeted with a warm welcome. Drinks and food were superb. Service was friendly and relaxed. Atmosphere was calm and not too noisey. Allergies were catered for with no fuss. We all really enjoyed our meal. Will definitely be back. Thank you! ⭐️

                                              The restaurant is very nice, the food was excellent and the staff are very friendly and professional. I really enjoyed visiting and would highly recommend Angels with Bagpipes.

                                              Up market restaurant in Edinburgh. Small portion tapas style plates, beautifully executed. We particularly enjoyed the smoked salmon, the BBQ broccoli, and the crab on crumpet. The venue and staff made for a lovely evening in Edinburgh.

                                              Best food I’ve had in Edinburgh. Small plates were the highlight, staff were amazing and the atmosphere buzzing but not overbearing. Thoroughly recommend!

                                              Fined here several times in the past but not for about 7 years & always had fantastic experience. However, the changed 'concept' of tapas style is all wrong for the type of menu being served. The restaurant lacked polish, the food was mediocre & very overpriced but the staff were lovely & professional which is why we still paid the added 12.5% service fee automatically added to the final bill.
