    It was our first visit to Anson and we will go back. The only reason it was not 5 star across the board is the dinning room our table was in. We were in a back dinning room that was filled with horse pictures and no windows. The downstairs dinning room and the front dinning upstairs are beautiful and we would have been thrilled with either. The food was great and high quality, and the service was top notch. We will definitely go back but will call to request a table downstairs or in the front dining room upstairs.

    We had a very good experience at Anson. They were extremely accomodating and the food was, for the most part, excellent, the only miss was the halibut which was on the dry side. We would definitely recommend Anson and we will return.

    This is a superior restaurant in every category. Bar tender made a custom Irish Toddy for my wife which was exactly to her taste. The Royal Red shrimp appetizer is fantastic!

    I book at Anson every time I’m in CHS - one of my absolute favorite places for dinner! The owner and staff are so kind and it’s evident they take pride in their place and menu. 10/10 stars.

    Love the small space in the heart of Old Charleston. This was our 3rd visit in the last 15 years. The food, service, and ambiance has never disappointed! Their signature crispy fried flounder was delicious, crispy yet meaty and moist. She crab soup and beet salad, perfect. Brussel Sprouts and Trout dip, tasty starters and plenty to share with 4 people.

    Great atmosphere, food and service. As a local who goes out to dinner at least 3 times a week, Anson is a favorite. Always consistent. Highly recommend.

    From the moment we entered the door, we were welcomed so warmly and lead to the best table in the house. Service was incredible and Grace stopped by a few times to check in on us too. The Brussels were absolutely incredible as well the scallops, Crab Louie and grits. Can’t wait to go back again soon. It was the perfect place to take our friend who was visiting from Boston.
