A modern take on the classic American steakhouse, Arroyo Chop House is one of only a few restaurants in Southern California that serves exclusively USDA Prime beef. This strikingly handsome restaurant, inspired by the Arts & Crafts architectural style for which Pasadena is famous, is clad in rich mahogany and the cozy booths are bathed in seductive light.

Our steaks are aged and hand cut daily and then perfectly seared in a 1,500 degree oven. Traditional steakhouse side dishes include creamed spinach, baked potatoes, asparagus spears with hollandaise sauce, and Arroyo Chop House's famous onion rings. We also offer live Maine lobster and fresh fish, Alaskan King Crab legs, fresh oysters, and shrimp. Compliment your meal with a bottle from our award-winning wine list and finish the night with one of our delicious desserts such as a Grand Marnier soufflé, warm apple pie, butterscotch pudding or chocolate pecan pie.

Arroyo Chop House is the perfect place for any celebration or event, be it a birthday, anniversary, rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, holiday, wrap party, awards show reception, charity reception or corporate meeting. We are available for location filming for television, features, fashion and music. Buyout of the entire restaurant also offered. Arroyo Room 50, Prime Room 35, Total capacity 220.The refined private dining areas boast an assortment of configuration possibilities, including some that accommodate the use of a wall-mounted plasma television for presentations.

I am a regular customer here, but recently I had a poor experience. Its nice to be in a place as lively and festive as the Chophouse is this time of year. What isn't nice is a waiter telling you what he's going to bring you from the bar when you ask for something else. I went along with the antics of the waiter to avoid any discomfort. I don't appreciate being man-handled, but I suppose he thought he was cute. The rest of the experience went downhill pretty quickly. I wished I hadn't gotten out of my car by the time my cold ahi tuna entree arrrived. It was seared at sometime before it arrived but it was cold to the touch on the outside and completely unappetizing. After I voiced my disappointment the waiter got defensive and schooled me on how ahi is cooked or not cooked. I felt embarrassed for him. I just returned from Kaua'i where I'd had so much tuna I thought about it in my sleep. Guess I'll be taking a hiatus from this place till they realize what is and is not correct.

One of the best places in our list for the last 20 years. Everything is excellent about this place. We hade always the best food service and ambiance. We recommend this place to anyone who hasn’t been there before to try and find out what a jam is Chophouse. No wonder they have Michelle’s star.
