My fiancée and I’s review of Azure Restaurant is a bit mixed. I’ll start off by saying the service was amazing, but there’s a reason that led to this. The ambiance is ok, it is near the hotel lobby, right beside a busy street but it has a unique style with a glass style wall/roof, but it was somewhat quiet considering. Our experience that leads to our fair but also poor review was the food. We had shrimp platter and a charcuterie board as our antipasto. The shrimp was 6 pieces for $24, it’s shrimp can’t go wrong, but $4 per shrimp is wild. The board was ok, but as I was about to eat a piece, I luckily happen to look under the piece of bread where I found mold. My fiancée and I were very surprised, given our experience at the hotel till then (which was outstanding) we were very shocked. We let our waitress know, she was also surprised but extremely apologetic. She took it to the back and assumingely told the manager of the restaurant who came to our table and apologized as well, stating it’s unacceptable and a few other words. We were offered another board if we wanted, but we declined, which he then offered our meal to be covered by them, which the hospitality was greatly appreciated as well as noticed which is why my customer service rating is excellent. We had a lamb shank and a braised beef plate as our mains, which was not bad. Of course we were cautious to check our food. The mold on our bread was concerning, it was a small little piece on the bread but obviously is not wanted by anyone, we believe the bread was probably sitting for a few days to have some mold on it. Hopefully this situation does not mean something for the kitchen I.e, if it’s messy or other food not being taken care of correctly. Overall, we had an unfortunate experience with our food, but we received excellent hospitality from what happened and even when we first arrived which was appreciated, specifically from the kind service our waitress and the manager.
