   We went to dinner early on a Tuesday. Got seated right away with beautiful view of Monterey Bay and Lover's Point beach. We enjoyed the whole meal. It was presented to us in a calm and well timed matter. No rush. Had the fire cracker shrimp and the fried calamari as appetizers. Had the sand dabs and spicy shrimp for entrees. All was very tasty.

   The restaurant has improved the quality of food and the menu selections. In the past we’ve been disappointed with the flavors of the food but tonight it was much better. We’ll start dining here again and bringing our friends.

   Our server was attentive even though it was a busy night. The food was great! I had half of the huge burger-loaded with bacon, cheese , tomato and fried onions. My husband had the salmon, which he devoured. We started with a drink from the bar-very good! All in all, a relaxing and delicious meal on a day we moved houses!

   After living here for a couple years now, we were curious to try Beach House for a dinner sunset view, despite the hit-and-miss reviews. I understand the mixed bag of reviews, because after eating here, we probably would not return, but understand why someone local might. We ordered the airline chicken and salmon filet for dinner, along with a cup of clam chowder - all off of the locals menu, which offers a significant discount to the regular menu pricing. The chowder was not good - it had WAY too much thickener making it dense, and the clams were not fresh, but rather rubbery. Both the chicken and the salmon main proteins were tasty, but the sides of vegetables served with each were not seasoned at all and were flavorless to the point of being inedible. The service was pretty spotty, with our server abandoning us at several times through our meal, and another server opened a door next to our table without asking us if it was OK - it immediately made the noise level noticeably rise, and the breeze made it a bit chilly. If we had to pay full regular menu prices for these meals, I'd feel ripped off. As it was, it is not a great value, but not horrible either. But when you just want good food, I'd rather pay a bit more to get a better culinary experience. There are so many better options here on the Monterey Peninsula for us to return here.

   This is a local gem. Beautiful location, good food at a very nice price. Wait staff is outstanding. I can strongly recommend.

   The food was not that great. The sirloin steak had a weird celery taste to it and the sauce that came on top was also not good. The lobster ravioli had too much sauce and you could not taste the lobster inside. The price of the churro dessert was very overpriced for frozen sticks that I see in grocery stores. The “bowl” of clam chowder was also very small.
