    We enjoyed the food here, but would have liked better service. I called to try to move our reservation back by 30 minutes, but they said that they were already too booked up. But while we dined, there were always 2 empty tables near us. Then because of some glitch, our order did not make it to the kitchen. The error was not noticed for more than 30 minutes. Also, the server forgot to return my credit card after I paid for the meal. Thankfully, I noticed it was missing before we left the restaurant. All in all, they were apologetic and threw in a few free appetizers. Just wished for fewer dining problems.

    I had the special NY strip steak ordered medium. It was so tough I had to return, replaced with Sand dabs which were mushy. My husband had beef stroganoff which he liked, but it could have been hotter. The bread and clam chowder were good.

    Great as always! We’ve returned once again this year as we spend New Years holiday getaway in PG each year for more than a decade. The surprise for us is that they eliminated the sunset specials reserving these for Monterey county residence only. This was a disappointment for us because we spend so much time and money here each year, the sunset specials was something we always looked forward to each year. But even without the specials, we will continue our traditional dinner here on December 30th each year because we like the Beach House at Lovers Point so much. DM from Livermore
