By far the best dinner of our trip! We dined out every night for five nights, and this experience was unmatched. The staff and our waiter went above and beyond with thoughtful recommendations and small surprises that made us feel truly appreciated. The atmosphere was just as remarkable—we booked our reservation to catch the sunset, and it was timed perfectly, adding to the experience. From the exceptional food to the outstanding service and even our stay at the SurfRider, every detail was simply perfect. I highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone.

Still my favorite restaurant on the island. You cannot beat the fantastic staff and the food is excellent. Today, my family had the absolute pleasure of having Kevin and Felix. Their hospitality was top notch. Our hats of to the chef and kitchen staff. The meal was lovely. I always enjoy my dinners at the Moana Surf Rider.

Went here for our 20th anniversary. The staff was amazing, and the food was incredible. Perfect atmosphere. Highly recommend.

クリスマスディナーで、4品のコース。テラスの角テーブルで、海の心地よい風とバイオリンの音色を聴きながらとても最高の雰囲気でした。前菜、メイン、スイーツは非常に美味しかったです。前菜のハマチは柑橘ソースが合い和のテイストもありました。メインの肉はとても柔らかくマッシュポテトの味付けも最高でした。ただ、2品目は微妙。ロブスターと茗荷？の大きな食材でしたが、まずロブスターが食べれないのでその旨を(コース前に)伝えました。大概他の食材に変えてくれますが、この店はその茗荷？のようなものが2本に。。クリスマスディナーで忙しいのはわかるけど、この位のレストランなら代替品でだしてほしかったなぁと思った。また味付けは薄くはっきりいって美味しくなかったです。サービスはまぁ良かったですが、最後会計後はお礼もなく驚きました。このレベルのレストランなら最後までも最高のもてなしを期待したいものです。

Christmas dinner was mediocre. For $145 per person my expectations were much higher than what was presented. Would not recommend.

I have to admit I’m extremely disappointed in this experience at the Beachhouse Moana Surfrider because of the way we were treated by the hostess. I booked this course meal about two months in advance to celebrate and special occasion and was really looking forward to the water view as advertised in all the pictures. I was told when we were seated that we weren’t allowed to sit by the water because we hadn’t booked enough months in advance despite planning early. We watched all five of those tables sit open our entire dinner while we were denied a sunset view and I don’t understand why we weren’t good enough to deserve a good view. It’s a shame because the food was amazing, our server was exceptional, the chef even came to talk to us personally about a food allergy. Very disappointing to be told “we didn’t book enough months ahead of time” to enjoy the view as advertised for our special occasion. It put a huge damper on the last night in Hawaii and a bad taste in our mouth for the Moana Surfrider. The hostess remarks and treatment completely ruined our experience of an extraordinary good meal and celebration. She made us feel unworthy of the restaurant and unwanted compared to other guests. We had to modify the time of our reservation so I’m unsure if that’s what caused us to move to the bottom of the barrel? Be aware if you want a decent table as shown in the pictures, maybe try booking more than a few months in advance and don’t modify the reservation.

The lobster chowder was very good. The seared Spanish octopus was OK…not marinated enough, but good sear, and the portion size was too small. The roasted lamb was excellent. The duck breast was served to cool and it should have been cooked and served properly: score the fatty part and sear in a hot pan to remove a bunch of fat, then roast and served as slices (aguillets de magret de canard). The chocolate banana mousse dessert did not seem to have bananas in it.
