   My reservation was for 7pm, we didn’t get seated until About 7:25, they didn’t have enough chefs to accommodate all of the tables, so by 8:30 we were still waiting for a chef to come out & began cooking. On top of that, there were 2 tables that sat down before us that still needed to be served, so who knows how long we would’ve actually waited! My toddler became very irritated after waiting over an hour & a half to eat, so we decided to leave. Terrible experience & waste of time.

   The service was not good. I had a 7:30 reservation the cook didn’t come until 8:45. When he finally came who ever was before him didn’t clean grill so he had to clean grill which cost more time before he could cook. The floor was dirty as well wasn’t cleaned after last use a lot of crumbs on floor. Once cook got going the food was good. Server was good as well.

   Our waitress was friendly, but did not give us as much information as the waitress at the next table. Our chef, Leo, seemed disinterested and did not put on the type of show you expect at Benihana. Jeff, the chef at the next table, was awesome and included my children when he saw how excited they were. Our green tea was disgusting and had a layer of oil on top.

   I had no issues when I went. I sat at the bar area. My food was delicious and the service was amazing as well.

   I can see this location has improved on their quality and the cleanliness of the restaurant. I have been there in the past and the food was mediocre but this experience was the best by far.

   I tried this location after deciding to never visit Plymouth Meeting again and honestly, the experiences were identical. We had reservations for 7:15 but were not sat at our table until 8PM. Even after being sat, we waited another 15 minutes to be greeted by our server. Once he took our orders, our drinks were brought back in a timely manner but the overall service wasn’t the best. The hibachi cook that prepared our food was very inexperienced and lacked personality. When we chose the teppan communal style seating, it was for the experience and interactions. I could have booked a table in the lounge if I just wanted my food served to me with no personality and interactions. The food was prepared poorly and was very salty. I also do not understand how a children’s meal hibachi steak and chicken is the same exact portion for the adult meals. What is the $20 difference for? A soup or salad?? Overall, I was very upset with this dining and have decided that I would not return to any Benihana locations again.

   Chef Malik was excellent and put on a good show. The waitress was very aware and made sure we had what we needed

    We were seated 20 minutes late despite arriving early, hostess was not friendly. Told the server we have a gluten allergy, she didn’t communicate one of the dishes wasn’t GF, instead it just never came. NA drinks took 20 minutes, alcoholic drinks took another 15. Table mates left during first course because the service was so bad. Manager asked if I wanted another lemonade, I said yes, before he brought it, server asked if I wanted on, I told her the manager already asked me. Serve brought the drink, manager brought another, asked why I already had one, then manager scolded us for ordering from someone else and literally threw straws at us on the table and said “hope this is good.” Chef complained the whole time about being understaffed and how “nobody wants to work anymore”. He didn’t do any of the usual “tricks” which is part of the experience and why we chose this location to celebrate a birthday. He showed me sunflower oil and said “is this good enough?” For my gluten allergy. It was uncomfortable. He also made an error in the food which he later graciously corrected, Because server entered order wrong (I saw the ticket). I had to order ice water 3 times to receive it. Then, when the busser was clearing entrees as we were waiting for to go boxes, he took our (full!!) drinks without asking and stacked dirty plates from another guest on the food we were waiting to wrap up. The vibes were incredibly hostile all around, from each staff member. Thankfully our table mates were kind and able to laugh at the terrible experience.
