    The reservation system is the absolute worst. It doesn’t matter that you have a reservation, you still have to wait an hour to be seated. It would be great otherwise.

    Not sure if it’s normal or if it was an off night but people with reservations were waiting an hour to be seated. Our server was MIA. Everything felt chaotic. Sad experience considering most people are going there to celebrate some event only to be met with a sub par experience. If you have low expectations you’ll be fine.

    Showed up 10 minutes early for my 8:30 PM reservation, thinking I’d be smart and beat the rush. It’s now 10 PM, and I’ve just been graced with a bowl of lukewarm mushroom soup. At this point, I could’ve flown to Japan, foraged the mushrooms myself, and still eaten faster. The food? Overhyped and underwhelming. You’d think after a 90-minute wait, the flavors would blow my mind. Spoiler: they didn’t. It’s just basic hibachi at a premium price, but somehow with none of the finesse or consistency. The atmosphere is pure chaos — noisy, crowded, and not in the fun lively kind of way. More like “trapped in a mall food court during a fire drill.” Add in some sluggish service that moves like molasses in January, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for regret. Benihana: come for the show, stay because you literally have no other choice until the chef finally shows up. Never again.

    Waited 30-45 minutes for table with reservation. Waitress was not happy and made no effort to connect with us. It was impossible to hear

    Unfortunately it seemed like our table was forgotten about, our server took a very long time to come over initially for drink orders. It went downhill from there, our soup was cold and we were the server asked the other patrons at our table to pass down our salad (which came out about 1 minute before the food was done) and I don’t want strangers who don’t work at the restaurant touching my food. I got up and told the server to let them keep those and she could pass me our salads directly. The food had very little flavor - maybe 1 scoop of garlic butter was used. Then we had to wait again for ice cream and green tea. The green tea never came. All in all it was expensive and disappointing.

    Wow, we were really impressed by the service provided by our waiter Sam and our chef Jean. Sam was very attentive and took great care to accommodate the special food requests from our table. He even made miso soup for my husband when he found none in the back and learned my husband was allergic to onions. Chef Jean also worked hard to prepare the requested versions of the appetizers and fried rice: gluten free, dairy free, egg free, onion/mushroom/pepper free! He even washed his utensils twice to insure there would not be cross contamination. While the dinner understandably took longer (for example, he had to prepare 5 different versions of fried rice for our table of 7), everyone happily received food they could eat. My husband really enjoyed his birthday dinner and we are grateful to their careful accommodation for food allergies. We will definitely be back!

    Our habachi chef, Luis was amazing and attentive customer service. General Manager, Daniel and manager, David were impeccable and customer service was excellent.     Made a reservation for 8:30p, arrived 45 minutes early. Was told at 8:30, 8:45, 9, 9:15, and 9:30 by the host it would be "15 minutes." Didn't sit down until 10p. I would have left at 8:30 if they were honest about the delays and they knew it - dishonest in order to keep customers unhappy and waiting. I had children with me, very disrespectful and inconsiderate, would not return.
