Restaurant is showing its age and could use a deep cleaning. Food took too long as was told they were backed up in the kitchen. Server was distracted and seldom available Chef was entertaining and food was good.

The server never brought the wine we ordered. Had to ask for it near the end of the dinner. The server never brought the rice bowls. One in our party ordered the chicken fried rice dinner and only got the bowl portion. The chef was super boring and did not entertain at all. One in our party had a shellfish allergy and they said the chef would give the shrimp appetizer portion to another in the party and he didnt do that. Overall for near $175 it was a poor experience. The food was really good though. I guess that is some solace.

Service was slow but friendly. Staff was shorthanded. Prices have increased grossly since my last visit. It has gotten to the tipping point whether the food & experience is worth the cost.

Hasn’t change since the last time. Service still sucks. Seems as if they’re still under staffed. Can’t even get a refill on a drink without flagging someone down. Food is good but the service makes the place not worthy

The food was good but the restaurant could use some updating decor wise. Service was nice but seemed understaffed. Will go to a different hibachi place next time.

They charged me $ 88 over , when asked they said it was mistakenly charged of other party on the table and wasted so much time

Service was very slow. Had reservation but seated 20 min late. Took 30 min to get drinks and although we had salad it took 15 min before soup came. My husband was the only one who ordered white rice and he didn’t get it either until 10 minutes after we got our fried rice. Performance of cooking chef was not as entertaining as in the past. The woman at our table was allergic to beef and asked that her food be prepared separately. Despite that the chef prepared the beef dishes before preparing her dish therefor contaminating it. Food overall was up to par. The vent at the table next ours was not working so very smoky. Finally server brought check before ice cream. We had to ask for the ice cream that came with our meal as well as green tea. Neither were offered. Sadly I don’t feel this visit lived up to previous experiences

We have been very disappointed in how long it takes to get seated at Benihana. Our last two reservations we were seated well over an HOUR past our reservation time. I’m not certain we will return. I will say the manager kept apologizing to us and did give us 20% off our bill. Still it was very frustrating being seated so late with kids.

Have to be honest...this experience was really bad. We had a reservation for 8 at 6:00. We didn't get sat until 6:45, not ideal but not completely offensive. We sat down and placed our drink order. After 10 minutes our server came back with water and told us that the bar was 'backed up' and that our drinks were coming. We placed our dinner orders. Our soup was delivered. Our server again apologized for the delay in our drinks. Then our salad was delivered. Still no drinks after 30+ minutes. Our chef came out to start cooking at the time our drinks were delivered (more than 45 minutes after we ordered them). We asked the server for another round since it took so long. She said that the bar was more caught up so it shouldn't take as long. It was another 45 minutes before we received our next round. It was a total joke at our table at this point. We were completely done eating our dinner. I have worked in hospitality and I am involved in a business that is heavily reliant on hospitality. The fact that the manager or general manager was not going around to the tables to apologize and offer some 'make right' is a huge mistake. We saw him walking around and looking around. I interacted with him when we were delayed in being sat at a table. They will never get my business back and now I am taking my busy time to let all of you know not to waste your time. This is a poorly run restaurant with even worse leadership that does not communicate with their guests. Our party was not specifically looking to get something free, just some type of acknowledgement. The chef was great. He was entertaining and the food was good. Everything outside of that was very, very poor.
