    $363 for 4 people to eat hibachi?! Unbelievable your prices have gone up through the roof and your quality has gone down. And to top off dessert, you have even gone down on the ice cream. 1/2 of a scoop? Not to mention , we can’t even tip anymore, you add a $55 “service charge” and I had to Venmo the server who sucked. We will never be back.

    Food is good service was slow. It was supposed to be a birthday celebration and just because we were a party of 2 we were stuck right in the middle of a community table. No picutres were taken and birthdays weren’t acknowledged until after they were brought up by the customer when it was put on our reservation.

    Food and chef delivered top notch food and service but prices are outrageous now for what they charge and the little portions of food you get. We went to Benihana because we saw on Facebook a $40 dollar meal deal for a 5 course meal. Well the restaurant said there is no such thing as a 5 course meal for $40.00 dollars.

    Everything was great, the waiter was too. The cook was a bit messy, food was flying everywhere. I've been to multiple Teppian-style restaurants and the order on which he cooked the food was not good. Normally the food would be cooked together with some placed on different sides of the grill. As the rice is being prepared the other items are slowly cooked until they are brought to the middle of the grill for completion. By the time the other food items were done at this location, the rice was a little cold.

    This was my second time at a Benihana and I really enjoyed myself! The chef was amazing. It was cool to hear that the chef came back to start this location specifically. The food was also amazing. Definitely a great place for groups or a great way to meet strangers if your groups is not big enough for a whole table.

    First time at the Mall of America Benihana. Nice location. Service was good, and the food was great. Had reservation, and was seated within a few minutes of arrival.

    Food was fabulous, chef was AMAZING! Server was two thumbs down! She was so slow, our beers came to us warm, 15 min after our girls received their beverages… we never received or were offered refills of our beverages… our salads came out as we were getting our meat from the hibachi.

    After walking by Benihana in the mall for many years and smelling the aromas, I had very high expectations for this restaurant. Instead, the ambiance was not overly special, food and drinks were very average and overly priced, and the service and presentation were very robotic as the gratuity is automatically added to your bill. Needless to say, I will not return.

    I've had a similar experience previously, so I knew what I was getting myself into. The only reason I came back was because my 14yo daughter wanted to have her bday dinner here. The Manager was very rude, staff does a lackluster job since the 20% gratuity is already mandated on the tab. And we had to ask for the side salad because they forgot, a folk because one was never offered and had to ask several times for refills on our drinks. PLEASE do yourself a favor and go to CRAVE across the hallway, you won't have to pay an arm and leg for good food and great service.

    Waitress so-so. Didn’t bring our rice until after we got all food. We had to ask for it. She was late with drinks & missing when we wanted soy sauce, more drinks, etc. Chef didn’t smile much. Had to ask his name. Had to remind him of shrimp appetizer (I think he forgot). Been here many times & the food is great. Just our service this time sub-par.
