Expect 1-hour wait at least after the reservation time. This place was my favorite. Turned out to disaster with 2 kids who had been waiting to be seated for 1 hour + 30mins extra for their food to arrive

We had a reservation and were sat shortly after arriving. We were not greeted for 15+ minutes. When we were greeted, she only took the drink order. 15+ more minutes pass and we still hadn't ordered our food. 45 minutes after being sat we finally get our soup. 1 hour into the dinner we still hadn't received our salad and our chef hadn't arrived. Mind you, we're sitting with a toddler at the table, who is now starving and crying and causing a scene since we were waiting for so long. I ask the server about it and she was short and rude to me about asking. It wouldn't be her fault if the kitchen is behind, but she did an absolutely awful job of taking care of us up to that point. My husband had to ask for his beer three times. Then when we finally get our chef an hour+ after being sat, he informs us that three of the people are vegan and requested that all of their food be cooked before any of our food. So we, the 7 other people at the table, had to sit and watch as he made their food, while we were starving with a crying toddler. So rude. If you're vegan, please don't come to a teppanyaki place and expect all of the other people at your table to sit and wait for your food to be made. Just go to another restaurant that it wouldn't inconvenience everyone else at the table. Benihana, is this seriously acceptable to you? You should have cooked their food in the back, so the other people didn't have to starve waiting for their food. The only positive thing I will say about this place was the chef, Michael, did a fantastic job. Very friendly and attentive. Excellent chef. Delicious food. Good job, Michael! As for everyone else, including that terrible server, do better.

While the food and atmosphere shine, the waitress seemed rushed, offering only brief interactions that felt impersonal. A little more friendliness and attentiveness would go a long way in complementing the otherwise enjoyable dining experience. Overall, Benihana is worth visiting for its excellent food and ambiance, but a focus on improving customer service would make it truly exceptional.

Our reservation was at 7:45pm. We waited over an hour to be seated! The bar/waiting hour had NO bar service. Eventually once we were seated it took over 20 minutes before a chef showed up. The table service was prompt. We ordered an appetizer and they told us AFTER our order that the kitchen said it would take about an hour to get appetizer out and our chef would probably show up first. It seems the restaurant was overbooked! There were many customers that came in as well with reservations complaining about the wait time even with a reservation. It is a tradition for us to eat at Benihana‘s every New Year’s eve and this year was the worst experience at this location ever.

The food and the workers are always good. I took away stats for “service” mainly because we had to wait an hour to be seated even with a reservation. It was like that the whole night… on NYE!!! That’s not acceptable. Lots of people were angry and the front staff had to deal with all the angry guests. The reservation system needs to change. Making people wait over an hour because it’s overbooked is not acceptable. If management/ corporate are afraid of no-shows then charge people’s credit cards a certain amount per person listed on the reservation. This is how most high end restaurants do it especially for special events/ nights. Other than that horrible wait, everything was great. The front staff was super nice and did the best they could with the situation. They were super polite and even accurate with their wait time estimate to set expectations. The server and cook/ chef were both awesome. Super friendly service and the chef put on a great show. This is the second time we’ve dined here for NYE and other than the wait time this time, we would consider coming back next NYE. We also come here a few times a year coz our kids love it. I hope the reservation system changes coz making people wait an hour when they have a reservation basically beats the purpose of a reservation.

Little busy on New Years which is expected. Chef l, service, food was all amazing. Great New Years which is a tradition for a group of friends

We had a reservation and they were running behind an hour for reservations. I was told 30 to 45 minutes when we checked in and it ended up being an hour. When we talked to the hostess about it she said it was better than Christmas when they were 2 hours behind. From our observation this was a manager and hostess issue. Our chef and waitress were great! The hostess was screaming peoples names. She was irritated, short and annoyed with visitors. It felt super aggressive in the front of the restaurant. We felt for our family to sped $360 for the 5 of us for dinner, we should have a great experience. This was suppose to be a fun NYE. Although once we sat down our server and chef were great, it was hard to be excited after standing in the front for over an hour and watching her scream and be rude to multiple guests. In addition, at no point did we see the manager take control of the situation. It seemed as though the hostess was running him too.
