Positives: Porterhouse steak for two and boneless Ribeye were cooked nicely to a perfect medium rare. Steak was very tender and seasoned well. Sides were very good. Spinach and hashbrowns were flavorful. Service was attentive and responsive and very friendly. Only things that needed improvement, we sat for a while without a wine list and the waiter came over immediately and asked if we were ready to order (felt rushed). I said we don't even have a wine list yet. Also, we expected a little higher quality oysters. We ordered East Coast but they weren't exactly plump and a few very flat and small. We also ordered a dozen clams on a half shell they came out on 2 separate trays with 6 on each ice tray... talking up alot of room on the table. Not sure why they just didn't combine them to a single tray. Clams were better than the oysters. I'd expect a decent steakhouse to take more pride in the oysters they serve. Overall, the experience was very good and we would return based on the service and the quality of the steaks.

First time at Benjamin Steakhouse to celebrate a birthday and holidays.Really loved the service and food. Wonderful holiday experience! Drinks were excellent and the porterhouse was divine. Wonderful old school ambiance.

We went to Benjamin’s for Christmas dinner. We had a great time despite the wait. They had last minute reservations and G our waiter was outstanding in the bar area. The food was phenomenal and we would love to dine again when we’re in the area.

Terrible Experience - 1 Hour Wait Despite Reservation I made a reservation at 7 PM through OpenTable, expecting a smooth experience on Christmas. However, I had to wait over an hour to be seated despite having a confirmed reservation. This is completely unacceptable and shows a lack of respect for customers’ time. The management made no effort to communicate properly or compensate for the delay. Even after being seated, the overall experience was disappointing. I will not be returning, and I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone expecting decent service.

Fantastic experience on an incredibly busy day. Reservations were a bit backed up however, Mario ensured our party of 7 was seated as soon as possible. All staff were attentive, gracious, and professional. Had the pleasure of meeting Benjamin. The meal itself was outstanding, a set menu for Christmas Eve with plenty of choice for each course. Highly recommend!

They were busy, I mean frenetically busy being one of the few places open for Christmas dinner in NYC. Understandably, we were seated at 7:00 for a 6:30 reservation for party of 6. Once seated, we were attended to promptly but never rushed. Waiter, Genci (?) was knowledgeable and guided us when we had questions. Both the rib eye and filet mignon were cooked to perfection. One of the best steaks we had especially for serving such a large crowd. Meal was truly memorable and nice finish to the day.

We came for Christmas Dinner and the food was great. However, the service felt rushed and all of the workers seemed stressed and were frantic. Wasn’t really the vibe we were going for but it seemed like they were really behind and were trying to get people in and out.
