For serious steak-connoisseurs, Benjamin is a must visit. The restaurant, located in the heart of Manhattan, offers the finest and carefully selected prime USDA meat, dry aged to perfection. Wide selection of wines and vintages for pairing. The 5,000 square foot restaurant features a ten-foot working fireplace, rich chocolate brown leather seating, oak wood paneling, vaulted decorative ceiling, and modern brass amber toned chandeliers.

    We went to Benjamin’s for Christmas dinner. We had a great time despite the wait. They had last minute reservations and G our waiter was outstanding in the bar area. The food was phenomenal and we would love to dine again when we’re in the area.

    Terrible Experience - 1 Hour Wait Despite Reservation I made a reservation at 7 PM through OpenTable, expecting a smooth experience on Christmas. However, I had to wait over an hour to be seated despite having a confirmed reservation. This is completely unacceptable and shows a lack of respect for customers’ time. The management made no effort to communicate properly or compensate for the delay. Even after being seated, the overall experience was disappointing. I will not be returning, and I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone expecting decent service.

    They were busy, I mean frenetically busy being one of the few places open for Christmas dinner in NYC. Understandably, we were seated at 7:00 for a 6:30 reservation for party of 6. Once seated, we were attended to promptly but never rushed. Waiter, Genci (?) was knowledgeable and guided us when we had questions. Both the rib eye and filet mignon were cooked to perfection. One of the best steaks we had especially for serving such a large crowd. Meal was truly memorable and nice finish to the day.

    We came for Christmas Dinner and the food was great. However, the service felt rushed and all of the workers seemed stressed and were frantic. Wasn’t really the vibe we were going for but it seemed like they were really behind and were trying to get people in and out.

    The steak was delicious, though a bit saltier than what I’ve had at other steakhouses. However, the overall experience was let down by the service. Despite having a reservation, we were seated at a small, awkwardly placed table—almost like a makeshift setup between two sofa seats. The server seemed rushed, which led to a chaotic presentation of the dishes, and they were almost throwing knives and plates onto the table. Definitely not the level of service I expected, but the food was pretty good.

    Week-end for Christmas Eve we had to wait over 1 hour to get seated. Overpriced for this time waiting. Food was okay but not extraordinary. Will not come again.
