Berret's Seafood Restaurant specializes in fresh regional seafood-shrimp, blue crab, scallops, oysters, and tuna. Also offering steaks, chicken, and vegetarian selections. Full beverage service, micro brews, and wines. Voted by Tidewater locals as the best seafood restaurant over 40 years.

    The food was overpriced, under-seasoned, and the menu selection was quite small. The scallops did not have a good sear. The crabcakes had no flavor. Even the crab, by itself, had no taste. The peach and pecan bread pudding was more like fruit cake than a bread pudding. We were very disappointed, especially for the price.

    Berret’s never disappoints! Our server, James, was attentive and friendly. Everything from drinks and appetizers to entrees was delicious and perfectly prepared. Looking forward to dining at Berret’s on our next trip to Williamsburg!

    Had a very tasty seafood meal here. The Oysters Rockefeller was better here than at the Rockefeller Room at the Williamsburg Inn. Great place for those who enjoy seafood. Wide variety on the menu.

    Once again Barrett’s does not disappoint. Every time we are in Williamsburg this is the first stop we make. Food is great and service is impeccable. Ask for Marney or Christian, great service.

    Our first seating option was not good so we asked for another table. That was no better, right next to the service area. The food was fair with the baked oysters the best choice. We had the smoked salmon special that was not good. We mention to our waitress that the dish was not good and she apologized. The muscles were very salty. We would not recommend this restaurant based on what we ate as well as the poor ambience.
