Berret's Seafood Restaurant specializes in fresh regional seafood-shrimp, blue crab, scallops, oysters, and tuna. Also offering steaks, chicken, and vegetarian selections. Full beverage service, micro brews, and wines. Voted by Tidewater locals as the best seafood restaurant over 40 years.

    6:45 Reservation. Arrived on time was instantly seated. while several folks waited outside for tables. This is a good sized operation and they were packed. So any delays in getting orders in or out can be understood, but the waits were less than expected and the quality of the food was well worth waiting for...Portions were adequate.. Makes me wish i lived Williamsburg, then I would have a new favorite fish restaurant.

    A wonderful evening filled with delicious food and beverages. Our server Stalin was the Best! Her suggestions on food and wine were spot-on. We shall definitely return

    Andrew, our server, was helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and we loved being in the heart of colonial Williamsburg.

    Great meal as always! Have been dining here for over 20 years, always a treat! Took my older parents and server was very kind and helpful. Crabcakes are amazing!

    My crab cakes were ice cold in the middle indicating they had been frozen instead of prepared fresh. Overpriced for frozen crab cakes!

    The food was utterly amazing! The scallops, shrimp, the oysters and the grouper was so fantastic! This is a must go and a must return place to dine! The service was also great!!!

    We eat here almost every time we come to Williamsburg (only once a year or so). We were a little early but were seated immediately. Food was great; love the bread , soups were delicious. Hubby had Seafood festival and loved it. I tried Seafood baked in parchment; flavors were not my favorite but that's just personal taste. Other might like it just fine. Next time I'll go back to crab cakes, always awesome!

    A longtime Williamsburg staple for a reason! Berret’s hit its stride decades ago and hasn’t let off the gas. Consistent quality!

    I hadn’t been to Berret’s in >25 years! It was better than I remembered. The Caesar salad was amazing, the peel-n-eat shrimp were very good and the oysters were good. Our server Marnie was stellar. Berret’s is a solid downtown Williamsburg option.
