    After letting our waitress know about my wife’s food allergies she was so helpful with the food choices . Would like to thank everyone who had a hand in the preparation of my wife’s meal and mine, we applaud you all, awesome job. Both are meals were fantastic. This was our second visit to Berret’s and we enjoyed it very much the first time with awesome service and awesome food, please don’t change anything as they say don’t mess with perfection.

    Have had many lunches at Berrett's over the years. Love the quiet atmosphere, service and quality of food. The salads and oysters are especially good. Staff is always friendly and responsive.

    We enjoyed our meal. Excellent service and meal was well paced for a busy spot. Food was nicely presented, but the smoked salmon was a thick, dry piece of fish. Scallops and shrimp were more steamed than grilled but not over cooked. Nice sauces. We’d go back, just don’t expect a 5* place

    I made reservations 2 months in advance and we have been coming to Berret's for over 30 years. I requested a table by the Fireplace and we arrived 30 minutes early and sat at the bar while we waited s were told our table wasn't ready. Our reservation was at 4:30 and the restaurant was not very busy. The hostess came to seat us at our time and only took us across from the bat to a small table which was too small for my over six foot husband. I explained to the hostess that I made the reservation 2 months ago and requested a table by the fireplace. Her response, "We don't have that here." They have a fireplace. She didn't offer a different table or seem concerned. I had to move dishes off the table onto the bench seat for our water glasses. Very disappointing. We didn't get bread, dinner was slow, we were very unhappy.
