BBQ & Lobstershack. We're a local institution, with an international following, this powerhouse of a restaurant is set over 2 huge floors in Covent Garden boasting a 9m wow factor bar on the ground floor & a more intimate speak-easy style shelter bar on the lower deck.

We proudly offer a large slice of easy going living, inspired by the Gulf Coast, with live bands 7 nights week, a friendly welcoming atmosphere, fresh cocktails, ice cold beers and generous portions of
good old home-style cooking offering Home-Smoked BBQ & Fresh East Coast Lobsters.

Fast forward to today and we continue to uphold those time-honoured traditions; social occasions of the bygone age, friends getting together over great fresh food, plentiful drinks and music - these never go out of fashion.

    Available for hoedowns, hootenannies, hullabaloos & other private parties With 10,000 sq. ft. of space we have plenty of room for events of all sizes; we have a semi-private area that caters up to 45 giving you all the atmosphere of the main restaurant but your own space to play with. There is also the option to hire one floor or exclusive use of the restaurant for your event. We can also accommodate drinks reception parties on both upper & lower decks of the restaurant and will be happy to discuss your requirements.     We went and had the weekday taste-a-rama each with cheesy chunky chips to share. The food was great, Emmanuel was a great waiter/server and was very attentive and kind. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough

    Service disappointing compared to other venues nearby, server covering very large area of restaurant, felt like too busy and didn’t want to complain too much but sparking water was warm with no glass or ice offered, when asked if I could have a glass, server returned with jug of (cold at least) tap water, plonked on table with glasses, no eye contact or acknowledgment. Daughters fries were cold and stale, like they had been reheated several times and inedible, charged twice for kids meal and extra for the drink that was meant to be included, but resolved after we queried this as £27 seemed a lot for a small mac n cheese! We had all finished deserts and daughter still waiting for cookies and milk, we asked twice for these, ended up getting these to go in a box with the bill, they were only Oreo cookies and gave up on the milk! We were so excited as out for husband’s bday as mentioned on our booking and had been having a lovely day. Our mains were tasty but the service really let it down and the fries we received were a disgrace, and we didn’t receive the spicy wings on the sharing platter either but no explanation given. Unlikely to return.

    Very very disappointing. Have been before and the service, food quality and was good. However this time was very different. The service was very slow. Waited 20 minutes from being sat down before having to prompt someone to take our order. Portion size/value for money very poor. The Texas Brisket consisted of 2 very thin slices of brisket which was more fat than meat. The sides were a very small portion of BBQ beans (which were cold so had to ask for a warm portion) and coleslaw, which to be fair was nice. For £22.50, this was not good at all. We also ordered the lobster mac and cheese. Again very poor. The portion was small and there were about 4/5 very small pieces of lobster in the dish. For £27.50, pretty disgraceful. The rest of the meal, burgers and steak tasted ok but not for what they cost. Back to the service, I had to leave the table to find someone to ask for some side plates. The server I asked seemed very disinterested and asked what table I was at, I showed them, they said they’d bring some over. The plates never arrived. The whole experience was very disappointing and I can be sure when I say we will not be returning.

    Very busy and if arriving early before your booked sitting, be prepared to wait some time at bar before actually being served, so advise to arrive at time of booking. Additionally, no comparison to Canary Wharf in as far to service and food quality.

    Unfortunately the restaurant service was very poor, having to wait long periods for a waiter to walk past to ask for service. The food was below average. I think Big Easy has lost there unique charm.

    Totally worth the visit, the voodoo prawns were excellent, the brisket was outstanding and the ribs were lovely. So good to find a decent bbq place which gets it right.
