BBQ & Lobstershack. We're a local institution, with an international following, this powerhouse of a restaurant is set over 2 huge floors in Covent Garden boasting a 9m wow factor bar on the ground floor & a more intimate speak-easy style shelter bar on the lower deck.

We proudly offer a large slice of easy going living, inspired by the Gulf Coast, with live bands 7 nights week, a friendly welcoming atmosphere, fresh cocktails, ice cold beers and generous portions of
good old home-style cooking offering Home-Smoked BBQ & Fresh East Coast Lobsters.

Fast forward to today and we continue to uphold those time-honoured traditions; social occasions of the bygone age, friends getting together over great fresh food, plentiful drinks and music - these never go out of fashion.

Available for hoedowns, hootenannies, hullabaloos & other private parties With 10,000 sq. ft. of space we have plenty of room for events of all sizes; we have a semi-private area that caters up to 45 giving you all the atmosphere of the main restaurant but your own space to play with. There is also the option to hire one floor or exclusive use of the restaurant for your event. We can also accommodate drinks reception parties on both upper & lower decks of the restaurant and will be happy to discuss your requirements. Expensive ! And service not particularly great. Greeted on arrival and sat. Drinks and food order taken. Food arrived before the drinks did. We hadn’t finished our food and my wife had put her knives and fork down as we were talking when the waitress tried to take the plate away, without asking, more importantly we were still eating which was clear and I was still holding my cutlery . That was just rude !! Training note, wait until the whole party have finished eating before attempting to remove empties. Plates were taken away once we were finished. Had a hard shake which was amazing !! We asked for the bill which was brought over and you had automatically put a 12.5% service charge on the bill ! For a waiter / waitress doing only what they are paid to do. Did not go the extra mile and it was almost expected this is the normal course of events. This is only the second time I’ve been to this restaurant, 1st time in May and now. Disappointed this time based on the first experience we had.

I would go to say that this location is a lot better than Canary Wharf, if not in the same standard / staff were efficient and the vibes were on point , food was amazing as per usual, lovely to see the standard of food maintained throughout restaurants!

Visited many times before and it’s always been great. Not sure what went wrong this time, food came out cold, so sent it back, portion sizes for the price were really small and the quality seemed to have dropped off a cliff! Waitress couldn’t have seemed less interested in serving us and didn’t smile once. Left the service charge on as she may have just been having a rough day. Will give it one more try and see if it was a one off, or the new norm.

I realise prices have gone up a lot lately but I remember my first visit to big easy and how we ordered A whole lobster, a pint of lager, chips and a salad and a dressing or melted butter for £22. Now you’d pay £40 for the same.. So it wasn’t particularly tempting. So we went for four different types of burgers. All of which were a bit meh… our waitress was nice enough and the room is always cool but the noise level is really on the verge of being unbearable and makes conversation really hard. My spicy crunchy chicken sandwich (read burger) was crunchy dry and tasteless. And not at all spicy. Very disappointing.

We had a great time in the Big Easy. The food was great and service was great. It was a bit on the warm side in the restaurant though.

First visit and we came away a bit confused about whether we loved it or not . Great venue , loved how it looked. Menu was a good selection- unless you’re a vegetarian, it’s obviously meat heavy. Tried the lunch menu which was great value. Liked the jalapeño poppers, hubby enjoyed his bbq selection plate but my Cesar salad was ordinary. Just a plate of iceberg lettuce really, no parmigiana cheese, few croutons and over sauced but the optional chicken was at least tasty. If I could get the attention of a server I’d have sent it back but staff were a bit thin on the ground. That said, I do think I probably made a poor menu selection so we’ll go back and I’ll opt for a more traditional BBQ meat based pick. Never write a place off based on one visit .

Server was great and good atmosphere. However, while the food was tasty, great prawns in particular but not enough of it. Not great value for money.
