Located on the upper level of Boudin at the Wharf, Bistro Boudin offers an ideal place to enjoy a leisurely meal with views of the SF Bay. Warm and inviting with beautiful dark wood accents, Bistro Boudin features a full service bar, Oyster bar and spectacular views of the waterfront. The menu is influenced by the abundance of seasonally fresh foods available in the San Francisco Bay Area and the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner.

It's a large space and it's wasn't especially busy so the atmosphere was lacking slightly. Would benefit from some softening with lightening or decor. Our waiter was professional but lacked any interaction or personality....we were visiting from the UK and have experienced very good service elsewhere. Not attentive and forgot our water. Disappereared without assisting with the complexities of the tipping system in San Francisco! Don't get started on that.

Whilst food was great - would have preferred starters to be served first, and then main course and not all at once causing hot food to get cold and overflow of food on the table. This process needs review.

I visited for a quick lunch before leaving for the airport and my flight back to London. I just had a Caesar Salad but it was one of the best I’ve had anywhere. I was aiming to leave the bread but as it’s their sourdough, I ate the lot! A lovely way to end my vacation in San Francisco.

Poor service. Overpriced. Small portions. Mediocre quality and food preparation. We are retired, dine out a lot and Boudin was recommended by a friend. Cafe dining experience. Decent view however.

We had the sourdough bread bowl soup and it was wonderful. We also had the flatbread and it was tasty but probably would order a sandwich for lunch instead as they looked great.

Good service. Good view. Good crab. Had crab sandwich and crab Louis. Of course sourdough bread was great.

We enjoyed our dinner at Boudin Bistro very much. The crab was roasted instead of boiled and had excellent flavor. The crab Louis salad was full of fresh vegetables and more great crab. We also enjoyed very tasty oysters. The wine list was decent and well priced. We were fortunate to get a table by the window with a lovely view out over the bay and Alcatraz, but it looked like all the tables had a good view. The high ceilings and windows make the space feel open.

We had reservations and got sat quickly. That was the end of the great service. We were expecting a slower service due to being New Years but honestly the service was lacking. Our server barely acknowledged our existence. We had to flag him down to order drinks after ours sat empty for longer than expected. (Tables next to us got water refilled and additional drinks in this time) he was not friendly at all. The goat cheese appetizer was the best thing we had. My Wedge salad was crisp and fresh. Husband had the prime rib sandwich and the prime rib was so tough and lacked any flavor. His fries were good. The French Onion Soup was scorched so bad it was not edible. They did take it off the check but I couldn’t believe the small cup of soup that was placed in front of me was $17! Even if it had been good not sure the value was there. We never got our water refilled even though we asked twice. This is the first place we’ve eaten where my husband said he wouldn’t come back.
