    Server (Dave) was great however my wife’s food was not cook to specifications had to go back and redone. My steak was tough for a ribeye.

    El Cajon's Black Angus Steakhouse is always a great experience. They have long-term staff, so chances are you have met your server before, and they acknowledge you when they see you. Steaks are always tender and to order. It is best to use the BA app as it is easy to use, make reservations, and earn free food.

    Went to Black Angus early on NYE. My spouse and I both had steak and both meals were excellent. Our server Payton did a very good job of making sure we had everything we needed.

    As always the dining experience was very good, although the waitress was a bit below the standard we've come to expect over the years. She was competent, but detached, slightly showing her racism against whites, which was ameliorated when she received her generous (25%) tip. At first I was inclined to tip less, but thought it over and decided it would do her good, over the long-haul, to see that older white males can act beyond her imputed prejudice.

    We arrived early for our reservation and were told we should wait until it was closer to our reservation time ... even though there were empty tables. This was annoying and made me think that the hostesses had the wrong priorities. Our server was very friendly and attentive with good suggestions. Instead of steaks, we tried a few of the other things on the menu and were pleased.

    Christmas Eve was a busy night so we expected service to be slower than usual. But our waiter was not up to it. We waited1/2 hour after being seated just for a glass of water. Other than that, The food and atmosphere were very good. The price was reasonable

    Our annual pre-Christmas friend’s dinner. I preferred the smoke glass dividers from before. The ambiance is more like Denny’s now. The food was good and the service attentive.
