My husband and I recently dined at Black Angus, and unfortunately, it was not a great experience. From the moment we were seated, it was clear that the waitress lacked proper training. She tried to take our order for drinks, appetizers, starters, and entrees all at once, which felt rushed. I politely asked for a drink with the appetizer first, as we weren’t in a hurry, but things didn’t improve from there.
To begin with, the timing was off: the starter arrived at the same time as the appetizer. At this point, there was no bread on the table, and when I inquired about it, the waitress snapped that it was coming. It would have been nice if she had communicated more calmly and clearly.
As for the food, I ordered the Prime Rib medium rare. The menu included a guide on steak doneness, but what I received was far from what I expected. The prime rib was overcooked, with a charred exterior. I had to point it out, and while the waitress took it back to the kitchen, the replacement was only slightly closer to medium rare—still not quite there and it lacked flavor. On top of that, the green beans were severely overcooked, which was disappointing.
Lastly, the service was lacking in attentiveness—at no point did the waitress ask if I wanted another glass of wine, which was a missed opportunity.
All in all, this was not the dining experience I had hoped for at Black Angus. I sincerely hope the staff receives further training to improve both service and food quality.
