Chef-owned, Blades' Bistro features innovative international cuisine known for its open kitchen, quality menu offerings, and attentive service in a casual, country setting. Specialties include Grilled Salmon, Chicken Française and Roasted Beets topped with Goat Cheese, Fried Calamari and world class French Onion Soup along with salad courses, daily specials, seasonal entrees, and homemade desserts. The owners are committed to use fresh ingredients and support their Local Farmers whenever possible. Look for exciting Wine Dinners pared with wines from regions from all over the world. Blades' Bistro is a classy blend of classic, whimsical; it is an oasis of sophistication thriving in Placitas. Everything about Blades' Bistro is nicer than you expect, in the best possible way.               Blades Bistro is an intimate setting in a rural location. It boasts one of the most experienced and accomplished chefs in this area. The steak au poivre rivals similar dishes I have eaten at the best restaurants in France, New York, and California. The pasta dishes are delicious. Salads are uniformly wonderful. My daughter got the Bistro Salad and asked as a dressing for the same sauce that was being served on salmon filet. My daughter is brilliant, and the chef is a master of sauces. Blades offers a selection of cocktails made with spirits brewed in New Mexico. The wine list at Blades in modest but everything is good. We like the minerally vouvray. Blades offers a very nice cabernet sauvignon by the glass. I could ask for a richer selection of pinot noirs, but whatever. Blades was out of the Grüne Veltliner, one of my favorite whites, but it will be back soon. The; entree prices are moderate -- maybe on the high side of moderate, but not expensive. The service is friendly and knowledgeable. Altogether, a supper at Blades Bistro is a wonderful way to end your day.

              Definitely, a favorite. Even on a very busy Valentine's night the place was amazing. Service, Food, and schedule adjustments. Like clockwork, the Blade's team crushed it. Support local business owners and this great establishment.

              Hidden gem just outside Albuquerque. Always solid food and a reasonable price. Wine menu filled with lots of old world value. Highly recommend!

              Blade's is always excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and the service was excellent. Scott is simply the best. If the Napoleon is on the menu, make sure to order it because it is amazing!

              We had a wonderful Valentine dinner. We loved the Brussels sprouts appetizer. I had the strip special and hubby had the chicken and both were phenomenal! The best was dessert-I had the bread pudding and hubs had the cheesecake.
