Borealis Grille & Bar serves the very best of locally crafted foods and beverages. We bring "The Taste of Ontario”, the highest quality of fresh products from Ontario farmers, breweries and wineries to our guests each and every day. We carry a great combination of lunch and dinner items to chose from, with an assortment of 20 Micro Brews on tap and a selection of Ontario's top wineries. This combined with a deep respect for local heritage and craftsmanship and an unwavering dedication for sustainability has given us an award wining recipe.
There are 5 things we consider when we choose what goes on our menu:
1)Taste. Superior quality, taste and freshness from buying local.
2)Health. Whole foods are more nutritious, period.
3)Environment. Less transport, less waste, lower carbon footprint.
4)Community. Trusted relationships with local farmers, brewers and wine makers.
5)Economy. Buying local supports, strengthens, and diversifies our regional economy.

Reserved in advance for a small surprise birthday party. Group of 9. The wait for service was inappropriately long for every aspect of our meal drinks straight thru to dessert. They said there were a few other large parties on the same night. Though I understand, the establishment knew what they were booking and should have staffed accordingly. At least the food was nice and hot when it arrived, but it was nothing special. One person had soup and couldn't eat it because it was so thick it was like paste or a dip instead of soup. Also, they knew it was for a birthday and it's pretty standard for a piece of dessert for the birthday person so we can all embarrass them when we sing to them, but they didn't bring anything. The service was the worst part. Been here before. Could have chosen a lot of places to celebrate, but chose here, and was pretty disappointed. The wait was just too long. The hostess, (Megan I think her name was?), was very kind. I came in a bit early to hang up a birthday sign and tie a balloon to a chair and the place was packed even mid afternoon and she had me just leave it with her and she put it up for me. Very thoughtful! Thank you Megan! Overall, just a 3 star experience. Food was okay, ambience okay, service was too slow.

Our server Chantel was very very good. Food was excellent and even though it was a Monday at lunch and quiet, it was perfect for our event.

It was a fantastic evening out to celebrate a birthday. Service was exceptional. We were entertained by 2 notch servers. Michael was training and was so pleasant. He is definitely a gem to add to an already enjoyable staff. The fabulous young lady training him (please forgive me forgetting your name) was so much fun. Food was delicious. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

This was our first visit to Borealis Grille & Bar. We had an absolutely awesome meal. Our server was amazing. She was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our meal so much that after we went downstairs and sat at in the bar area for some cocktails. The entire bar staff was so much fun. We will definitely be back.

Excellent choice for good local food/ fresh vegs and herbs - food always good. My companion and I had the mushroom rigatoni and really enjoyed it. There was enough to take home a portion.

This was our second experience at this restaurant. The first time everything was absolutely amazing. Food, service and atmosphere were top notch. Our second experience was not quite the same. The food flavors were delicious however it was cold when it arrived( not even like warm) and the service was terrible. After receiving our entres the waitress never came back even once to check on us or ask how our meal was. She never even asked when we paid the bill. All of the staff just seemed miserable as not one had a smile on their faces. Based on my second experience I don't know at this point if I will be going back for a third.
