Chef Michael Chiarello has returned to his culinary roots by creating seasonal farm-to-table Italian cuisine reflecting the bold flavors of Chiarello’s heritage in his signature style 1st made famous at Tra Vigne in the 90’s. An award winning chef/vintner & Food Network host, Chiarello celebrates his Italian roots and the Napa Valley with a menu echoing his long practice of using the finest locally/sustainably produced food. Located in Yountville, in the heart of the Napa Valley, Bottega’s extensive wine list represents hard-to-find favorites of the Valley and interesting Italian selections.

Extreme noise level. Seated in the bar area and could not hear our server. Food was very good, but overpriced. Would not return even though we are very forgiving customers.

One of the best restaurants in the valley. For any week I’m visiting, I will dine here a minimum of two times. Food, service and wine selection are tops. I shared with my dinner guest last evening that if I was ever going in front of a firing squadron, I would request a cigarette and my last meal from Bottega …

Bottega was lovely for a birthday lunch. Most of the food was exceptional and I appreciate the focus on seasonality. However, some of the items were over salted or under salted and I don’t love that they charge for bread and water. It was challenging at times to get a servers attention but when they came over, they were super helpful and lovely

None of us loved the food, it was okay. The bread was good. First server was excellent. She was attentive and friendly. Second one, was okay. She was covering for him, he took over.

Sergio was an awesome server. We loved all the food! Reservation was for inside but we were sat outside. Hostess could be friendlier, not a great first impression.

We were originally sat outside, but were immediately reacommodated to inside when a party of 12 was sat next to us. Our lunch after that was delicious and the service was impeccable. The ambiance inside was absolutely perfect. A great way to celebrate my husband's birthday.

We unfortunately had poor service celebrating our anniversary. Our server was not attentive ended up just eating dinner and leaving, no dessert or after dinner drinks.

Service was phenomenal start to finish. Food left much to be desired. Plates were barely warm, risotto was received (2x) severely undercooked, linguine OVERcooked and underseasoned, spicy fusilli barely palatable, resembled more a pasta salad with the just-boiled noodles placed on top of alarmingly tart sauce with a few slivers of mushrooms resembling rubber bands in taste and texture. All in all, the quality of the food was something you’d find in passing an outdated small town shopping mall. Given it’s glowing reviews and many past accolades, we gave this place more than a fair shot, and would recommend the drinks (great bartenders) and ambiance for a round of cocktails/wine starters and coupled with stellar service, makes for a fantastic happy hour. However, truly dine at your own risk.
