A San Diego tradition since 1969, the Brigantine has received numerous accolades during our 40+ year history: "BEST SEAFOOD", "BEST CASUAL SEAFOOD", "BEST HAPPY HOUR", and even "BEST SWORDFISH IN THE WORLD", according to USA Today - just to name a few.

Well-known for our signature Clam Chowder, Grilled Swordfish & Crème Brûlée, the Brigantine is a favorite among locals for consistently fresh seafood, succulent steaks & grilled meats.

A favorite destination for locals & tourists alike, the Coronado Brigantine is located in the heart of the village, immediately adjacent to the historic Hotel Del Coronado.

Completely remodeled in 2016, the "new" Coronado Brigantine is an elegant adaptation of its former self. The addition of an intimate private dining room, a surround-seating bar and street-side outdoor patio have been equally well-received.

Excellent service. Heating was not on in the restaurant so customers were eating with their coats on. Brussel sprouts appetizer and filet were delicious. New York steak dish with truffle crust was gross, tough, and full of gristle and the green beans were not cleaned properly - don’t order that!

NEW YEARS EVE THEY WERE NOT PREPARED. SAT OUTSIDE OVERFLOW, SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE FOOD WAS OK MAYBE RUSHED. NOT HAPPY HERE. NOT WORTH THE MONEY I PAID

We dined here on New Year’s Eve and understandably we knew to expect it to be busy, but this was just the worst service we have ever had at a Brigantine. I was made aware that we were to be dining outside (this place has an outside patio which is where I thought we would be seated), however we were sat on the sidewalk in front of the main dining room. There was so much foot traffic on the sidewalk it was noisy and horrible, not to mention that our server totally forgot about us, since we were out of site, out of mind. I think they should just stick to their outside patio dining area adjacent to the main dining room and not seat folks on the sidewalk for the sake of maximizing space. The food was good, but like I said our server was barely around and when we actually needed her to replace a hot sauce bottle at our table that needed the lid cleaned out so that it would pour out, she simply took the lid off and told us to be careful not to over pour. The bathrooms were also dirty and completely unkept. I don’t think we will be revisiting that location.

I was running late for my reservation, the host I spoke to was lovey, as was our server. The person who seemed like the manager at the front was not as polite or kind to me or to her staff, which I found off putting. Overall good experience on a busy New Year’s Eve.

I had the Crab Stuff Tiger Shrimp and it was great, just enough to fill me. My husband had the Crab Sandwich which was also super. We started with a Clam Chowder and ended up with a Creme Brulee! Thanks Brigantine. The desert was a gift for our Anniversary.
