Butcher & Singer, in the amazing historic location of 1500 Walnut, is an intimate and sophisticated dining experience in a relaxed clubhouse setting.     Had a fantastic date night here last night! Service was excellent. The Delmonico steak was perfect and melt in your mouth worthy as always! The lemon ice box cake was even better than before! Thank you for an amazing experience as always!

    Service and atmosphere where awesome. Unfortunately the steaks, BI NY Strip, were very tough and the knives were not good.

    Food was pretty good however we were rushed from start to finish. We made a 10pm dinner reservation only to arrive on time and once seated, (at this point it was probably 9:59 pm) we were told that the kitchen closed at 10pm. We asked why did you accept a 10pm dinner reservation if the kitchen closes at 10? They then said we could order but would have to do so immediately. They rushed our food out and rushed us to leave.

    The service was amazing-attentive and at one point we had someone else join us for drinks and they were able to accommodate that in a thoughtful way-so that was much appreciated. The food was-and you know it was going to be-expensive but worth it. The filet I got was buttery soft. I just got back from Tuscany and I would say that the filet at Butcher and Singer was, dare I say, better? The cauliflower was a perfect side. Drinks were smooth and I had a great red wine with dinner. I don’t usually like cheesecake but someone else got it-and it was fluffy, light but then had a topping of chocolate and caramel that gave it a balanced richness. Recommend if you want to splurge and have some really nice food in a nice, calm atmosphere
