BUTTER is located in Midtown Manhattan. Executive Chef, Alex Guarnaschelli offers traditional American fare highlighted and enhanced by subtle global influences with the grace notes of seasonality.

Please note that in accordance with the guidance provided by the City of New York, BUTTER will require proof of Vaccination for Covid-19 as well as a form of Identification for every guests who enters and stays on the premises.

                                                      The restaurant sat us 30 minutes after our 8:30PM reservation, and I am fairly certain they gave our table to the wrong group. The manager had to get involved to avoid the wait lasting another 15 minutes. We also put a note about this being a birthday dinner, but did not receive any recognition of that during the meal whereas other tables did have birthday candles brought out. The server also misguided us on the size of the apps vs entrees, so we ended up over ordering. That said, the food was excellent, but the service did not match the price of the food.

                                                      The food at Butter was good, but not worth the price. The porkchop was huge, but not overly impressive in flavor, the salmon was average at best. The waiter steered us away from the most expensive menu item, the Beef Wellington, hmmm..... The sides offerings were not very interesting, and very expensive. We will not be returning, despite my love of the Chef, Alex G.

                                                      We had a wonderful experience at Butter. The staff was so friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. The rolls were insanely light and fluffy. The veal bacon was perfect. The burrata was good but I don’t know if we would get it again. Our entrees were the short ribs and the salmon, both cooked perfectly and great portions. And we ended with the raspberry beignets which were light and fluffy and full of flavor. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

                                                      Butter is a go to for me whenever I am in midtown. The cuisine, cocktails & service are always superb. Enjoyed the Parker house roles, acorn squash & Burata, short ribs & duck. No room for dessert this time!

                                                      Was very impressed the food and service. My water glass never went empty and the staff was very sharp, crumbing after every service and promptly providing share plates and the correct silverware.

                                                      Pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious. My husband and I were shocked by the amount of food we got. Very generous portions. Price was reasonable. Everything was unique. We’d definitely come back again next time we’re in New York and I’d definitely recommend for a date night or outing with friends
