In the heart of London’s Soho, Cafe Boheme has been serving French classics for over three decades. Offering an all-day menu centred around French favourites, including confit duck, steak frites and escargots – all dishes are based on traditional recipes.

The brasserie is inspired by the 19th-century poets who used to meet on Old Compton Street and features art-lined walls, a brass bar and mosaic tiled floor.

Head outside and dine al fresco for views across Soho or join us at the bar everyday from 3pm for live jazz.

                                              We really enjoyed the music the artists were good. Unfortunately, with the noise it was challenging to listen to them eventhough we were close. We had the feeling to be in France in a café. The service was good, the waitress was friendly, and efficient. The steak tartare and the Creme brulee were delicious. We were quite disappointed by the canard confit and the bavet not very tasty.

                                              I had the best French Onion soup ever, here about 15 years ago. We went back to try it again and were not disappointed, it is delicious! Superb boeuf bourguignon, melts in the mouth. Confit duck leg was divine. Definitely worth going for the food but quite a noisy place!

                                              The location and atmosphere, and service was great, but then it sort of went downhill. We ordered drinks, and the waiter didn't recall which red wines were which, so we had to taste them to to decide the difference (which we could). Then we ordered 3 entrecotes, and one cod. We were told there was no cod left. Then we were told there were only two entrecotes available, and did one person want to order the bavette instead. But what made it weird was we were told there actually WAS three entrecotes, but one was being held for a bigger table coming in later (this was at 7pm). Then we were told there was a cod, which we could have as a trade off for losing the entrecotes. Like it was a negotiation. Then the cod was undercooked, and the person who ordered the bavette didn't enjoy the meal and only ate half of it. They did apologise, and gave us a complimentary glass of wine and a few soft drinks. But honesly, it wasn't great.

                                              Didn’t have half the main course’s. Had to order what was our second choice, couldn’t leave as it was my son’s birthday and we were all so hungry. I asked for a desert to come with a candle a waiter brings the dessert drops it down in font of him goes to leave and says, on happy birthday. The 4 of us had had a great day up to this point but we wasn’t going to let it’s pole it. Very disappointing have had good experience before….

                                              Lovely afternoon then just when food was over we went to the bar and the entertainment came to an end which was a shame. Going to book much earlier the next time.

                                              Cafe Boheme is always a delight. Always reliable, warm and friendly with a great atmosphere. This was one of many visits. Perfect at any time but you must book to be sure if a table.

                                              Fantastic location for a pre theatre meal. Beautiful decor and lovely live music. The pre-theatre set menu is excellent value for delicious food and the service was incredibly swift from an attentive waiter.

                                              Lovely service and atmosphere, great place for a drink, but the food is ghastly and all overpriced. Steak full of gristle and a salad nicoise was blatatly pulled whole from a long spell in the fridge, with a greyish lump of dry tuna dumped on top. The dressing had seeped to the bottom and the whole affair was tooth-hurtingly chilled. I felt queasy for the rest of the evening.
