A Classic French Bistro in the heart of Edison Park has been a dream of Executive Chef and owner Joe Calabrese for several years. Joe was professionally trained at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America located in Hyde Park, New York. Before opening his other restaurant, Zia’s Trattoria (located one block west of Café Touché at 6699 N. Northwest Highway) in 1997, he was sharpening his professional – and knife – skills at several well-respected Chicago dining establishments including Ambria, Spiagia, Un Grand Cafe and the Park Hyatt. Joe lives in Park Ridge, a few short miles from the restaurants, so expet to see him in both restaurants assuring a quality experience for his customers. On days off, Joe can be found at home with his wife, Mary Kay and their 3 boys. Reservations by phone: 773-775-0909.     Open table link to Cafe Touche menu displays the three menus: brunch, lunch and dinner. Each of them did not state the service times of when each menu would be available to select from. With my 1p reservation on Saturday my expectation was that their lunch menu would be available as their service hours on Saturday is 10 AM–2 PM and 5–10 PM. So when is lunch menu served if I got the brunch menu at 1p? The server noted the lunch menu is available during the week. Does the customers to understand the brunch menu is for the weekend? And lunch menu is on the weekdays? I graciously selected the Quiche Florentine as I was already at the table.

    The service was not great the waitress was not friendly. She brought the check without us asking for it. I don’t think I will be back. The service was horrible!!

    Great time at Cafe Touche. Wide selection of food and drinks between the menu and the specials. Food and service were great. Fun ambiance reminiscent of a french bistro. Valet parking a big help because it can be a challenge to park otherwise. We had not been to Cafe Touche in a while and we vow to get back more often in the future!
