Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. Restaurateur Artie Cutler crafted Carmine's with a singular vision; bringing his guests abundant portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast.

Platters of made to order pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing among friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's!

We are open for Indoor & Outdoor Dining, Pick-up, Delivery, Catering and Private Parties. Join us for Happy Hour at our Bar!

Your safety is our priority. As of 3/7/22, NYC no longer requires proof of vaccination to dine indoors. Indoor & Outdoor dining are available.

The place is great, it was a good experience overall. However, despite the low temperature outside, inside it was extra-hot. We ordered wine which came at room temperature, served in glasses warm from recent hot-washing. You serve red wine at 17C give or take. I would say the temperature of our wine was 24C, at least. Then we wanted to order desert. The desert size was ideal for four persons, but we were a couple. So my suggestions are to be more attentive with how they serve wine and perhaps offer half portions of desert so that smaller parties can also enjoy them

Portions are insanely huge and we were a group of 4. Go hungry or with a bigger group. We ordered Spiedini ala Romana as an appy and it was very good. Our shared entrees were chicken cutlet parm which was very good but warm to room temp and our Rigatoni Bolognese was mediocre and cold. Service was terribly slow and food came to table after an hour wait. The food was good but not hot at all, lukewarm- I think the server forgot to see if our food was out of the kitchen and ready to be brought to our table. Our reservation was at 3:30 and our entrees came at 5pm on a Sunday night. Our servers were nice but maybe too busy/understaffed.

Food was excellent. Steven our waiter was pleasant. Very busy place. Great ambiance. Great for family style dinning.

A wonderful holiday tradition and it did not disappoint this year. Great food, great/friendly service, good decor and table. We will be back again next year if not before.

Always love a Carmines dinner.. good and drink are always spectacular - service usually is too.. but not this time. Waiter was very unattentive, we didn’t get our water until the food came, never got a refill on a soda. When we got our check there was $85 worth of drinks from another table on our bill.. which was removed promptly but I’m glad I checked! As a former Virgil’s worker, this was my most disappointing trip to carmines ever.
