The Carriage House Restaurant in the F.M. Kirby Carriage House is open for Pre-Performance and Post-Matinee dining. Two Course Prix Fixe lunch and Three Course Prix Fixe dinners are available two and half hours prior to most Main Stage Performances and after all Matinee Performances at the Paper Mill Playhouse. Reservations are strongly recommended. Check PaperMill.org for scheduling and ticket availability. Sample Menus are linked on PaperMill.org/Restaurant.

An eclectic a la carte menu and desserts is available only in the Bar and Loft area; walk up service recommended for our bar areas, reservations available. Our full bar offers premium spirits, fresh fruit sangria, and a stunning selection of interesting wines by the glass or bottle.

    A friend who dined with us is both a vegetarian and gluten free. I called earlier in the day and Joe, the person I spoke with and our waiter, Chris, were so accommodating. Our friend was very pleased with her dinner and mine was delicious also. Service was great.

    Steve the bartender is friendly and remembers repeat guests. The price fixe lunch is a good value but drinks can be pricey (as they are everywhere). They always do catchy names for drinks to go with the theme. It would have been appreciated if some menu items especially dessert went with the Christmas theme for example cotton candy gelato is interesting but doesn't shout our Christmas like eggnog would. Parsnip soup was great and they make outstanding French fries. For gluten free the choices were limited but allowed me to do 2 apps rather than app and entree. I look forward to the next show to visit the carriage house again.

    Food was okay but grossly overpriced for a small sandwich and very small beet salad. I wouldn’t ever go back for their overpriced Prix Fixe menu, for $42 per person at lunch an okay/somewhat decent salad and sandwich should definitely have come with a dessert and soft drinks. They charge $5 for an unsweetened iced tea (non flavored) and you don’t even get a free refill. The food was decent as I said but nothing special, and honestly I would not waste the money again for a $120 lunch that you could easily have gotten at a deli for less than $30.

    Excellent overall...perfect for dining prior to a show at the Paper Mill Playhouse Very accommodating as we were stick in traffic and they were more than happy to move our reservation to a later time.

    Today was my first time dining at the restaurant and was not disappointed. Our server Amanda couldn’t have been more attentive or nice. There was no rush and the food was excellent. The desserts were a bit pricey in contrast to the meal.
