Casa Rustica is Boone"s authentic Italian restaurant since 1981. We offer a wide selection of entrees including fresh pastas, chicken, veal, seafood and steaks. We first sat at the bar for drinks; the bartender was excellent; bar extremely small. When we got our table (right on time with reservation) we secured a nice table by the fireplace. The restaurant has a nice warm feeling...very enjoyable. We waited a LONG time for our waiter...when he finally came over...he did apologize however the service he provided all evening was lacking. It was another LONG time for him to return to take our order; then a LONG delay for salad...and then an even longer delay for our dinner and the restaurant was not that busy. When we finally received our dinner...my Chicken Piccata was Luke warm & the Risotto side dish was not fully cooked and hard (most likely the chicken was not hot as it may of been sitting in the kitchen while the waiter was no where to be found). My wife ordered pasta with Shrimp...they dropped off the dishes and quickly left...she could not even ask for grated cheese. I finally stopped a waitress who got my waiter and told him my food was not hot and my wife needed grated cheese. My dinner was excellent however again, it was first served Luke warm; the presentation was not appealing. The Risotto was STILL not cooked; they heated it more yet it was still hard. My wife's Pasta with Shrimp she said was excellent HOWEVER it was a small portion of pasta ...not to mention the long wait for Grated Cheese. Overall...the atmosphere is excellent, the salad dressings are home-made and salad is included but the dinners are average in quality and the service is below standard's. Again, very friendly but poor service which equates to poor training. This location needs better management in the kitchen and on the floor. I am sure there are many good servers...but there is never an excuse for poor service and poor training (this includes serving a customer un-cooked pasta). We have been here before since there are no other Italian Restaurants in the area!

Food was excellent, from appetizers through to desserts. Service was friendly and very competent. An intimate venue, without the noise of some restaurants. Casa Rustica will definitely be on our short list of restaurants when we travel through the area again.

Waited a 1/2 hour for our cocktails and bread basket! Another 45 minutes for our dinners. Caesar salads were limp and French onion soup was too creamy with butter possibly. Chicken saltimbocca was flavorless and dry. The only redemption was the manager gave us a nice discount and gift certificate to come back in the future.

Ordered linguine with bolognese. While it was flavorful, it was delivered lukewarm. If the waitress had come back sooner, I would’ve sent it back to be reheated.

Delightful find and definitely recommend reservations Food is delicious and fresh. Savory and sweet and generous portions Service is excellent, attentive and courteous, and willing to adjust any dietary needs. Parking easy.
