Chandler’s opened it’s doors in December of 1999 behind the historical Symons General Store building. It’s a cozy place with only 50 seats in the main dining room & 10 seats at the bar. When real estate is too tough to find - it’s standing room only! For a change of scenery, guests can enjoy dining in the wine cellar where they are surrounded by the 4,000 bottle collection that serves both the restaurant and Symons General Store. In the warmer months, guests can choose to dine outside, on Chandler’s brick courtyard.

    A little cool in the dining area. 3 of 4 people wore their coats. On the other hand, the best meal we have had in several years. Excellent food, tastefully presented with good service.

    We enjoyed a wonderful dinner on Christmas Eve. The staff were festive and helpful throughout, and the food was terrific. Thank you to all that served us! We appreciate that the restaurant was open for us.

    Food was great! Service was good! The restaurant was freezing and drafty where we sat! For $125 per person - not acceptable!!!

    Half sports bar, half fine dining. Delicious drinks. Football game was on TV and a group at the bar were unbearably loud. So much for the "best seat in the house", the staff were constantly in and out the front door and we were almost to the point of putting our coats on due to the cold. Food was good, nothing mind blowing especially for the price. Felt like a glorified sports bar overall.

    Our service was impecable. Lively environment but not a place for intimate conversation due to tables being very close together. Definitely a must do when in Petoskey for a lovely dinner and drinks.
