    Chapeau is a gem. A small restaurant in Inner Richmond with a narrow well curated menu and an astounding wine list. The proprietors are friendly and welcoming. The wait staff is attentive without being obtrusive. The food is classic French prepared flawlessly. I highly recommend Chapeau

    Delightful French food. Done with a light touch and attention to taste and appearance. Wonderful wine pairing. Chapeau bakes its own bread, makes its own ice cream, and offers creative cocktails. The Branzino is fantastic. In fact there was not one miss in the whole evening. What’s more, you feel pampered without being suffocated. Fine food and old fashioned hospitality. A winner.

    Consistently great food and service! Everything was absolutely delicious, and we always love seeing the owner/chef come around the tables and saying hi to everyone. It’s such a special family owned place!

    The service is great! You can feel every member of the staff is aware, friendly and attentive but the food even though is good is too expensive with the portions very small, the testing of soup they gave us in the beginning was very tasty.

    The food is exquisite and the service superb, we celebrate my friend’s birthday and they brought her a beautiful plate with a happy birthday sign and candle , we felt like we were in paris.

    We both found most of our dishes to be on the salty side. Service was okay but they gave me my husband’s dishes (and vice versa) throughout. Room is really loud. Needs baffling in the worst way.
