Led by co-chefs and co-owners John Jackson and Connie DeSousa, CHARCUT Roast House is one of Canada’s most lauded restaurants.
The restaurant’s every detail – from the reclaimed local barn wood panelling to the mason jar chandeliers – transports the authenticity and soul of local, farm-fresh producers and their flavourful ingredients to downtown’s most energetic restaurant and bar.

    We really enjoyed our experience at Charcut. Our friends had some food sensitivities that were handled without a hassle. Our cocktails were good. I had the fall cocktail and my husband had an old fashioned. The appies were good. We had the octopus and the beef carpaccio. We shared the ribeye and some carrots. The carrots were maybe undercooked because they were hard. All in all a nice experience. Thanks!

    As always charcut was an amazing experience. Excellent food and service and 50% off wine bottles . Excellent way to spend a pre-Christmas dinner with one of my best friends.

    Food was great as usual. The sandwich lunch special is always great. A nice mix of items and cookies to go. Service was good. A little loud, but not unmanageable.

    Service was very accommodating as we asked to move because the chairs were so uncomfortable. Presentation of the chefs charcuterie board was on a basic plate, no preserves, nuts etc but meat was delicious. Our server did bring some condiments to round out the meal, however would not go back for this.

    I made a supper reservation at Charcut on Thursday, Nov 28, 2024. I ordered the Charcut Burger with added Bacon and I upgraded to the Truffle Poutine. I also ordered an Uncommon Dry Cider with my supper. The food and drink were delicious and I look forward to my next visit to Charcut! My server in the Le Germain Lounge was friendly and provided me with great service! I highly recommend that you check out Charcut for a delicious meal!
