Charley G's is a Lafayette favorite known for grilling aged beef & fresh Louisiana seafood over southern hardwoods. The food at Charley G's is driven by Southern inspiration and the menu changes seasonally with local seafood & produce. The casual yet upscale atmosphere has a bar area with live piano music 7 days a week. Charley G's also offers a wide assortment of specialty liquors, liqueurs & wines.     We love Charley G's! Food is always consistently excellent. Husband and I had crab cakes and a cup of turtle soup. He also had the house salad which he said was the best salad he's ever had at a restaurant. We also shared the Cajun smashed potatoes which were delicious. One son had a house salad and a bowl of gumbo. He said the gumbo was delicious but there wasn't enough of it. The other son had the fish special -- sheepshead filet with a crawfish creme sauce with lump crab and 3 fried oysters on top of mashed potatoes. He said it was "out of this world." Charley G's is a great "special occasion" restaurant and the perfect place to take out-of-town guests.

    Great atmosphere and staff. Ask for Miles if he is available. Wonderful young man and worth getting to know.

    We had an absolutely amazing time. I did a same-day reservation for eight they responded via OpenTable very warmly and generously. We so appreciate it. The service and the food was exquisite. Thank you so much.
