Devoted to creating a unique dining experience in Nashville’s bustling food scene, Chauhan Ale & Masala House is the highly lauded Indian restaurant from celebrity chef and TV personality Maneet Chauhan. Her Indian roots, zest for travel and affection for Southern cuisine have beautifully collided at Chauhan to offer a menu featuring globally-influenced Indian cuisine that highlights aspects of the culinary scene in India as well as Nashville, perfectly combining Indian fare with traditional Southern dishes. The ginger shrimp with the coconut curry sauce was delicious and so was the lamb vindaloo. The garlic parm Naan was also very tasty! Looking forward to eating my left overs and trying the recipes in Chef Maneet's book.

The meal was very good. I had not been here in about a year and I was happy to see the food was still very good. Try some of the different items on the menu and ask about the heat level in advance. Highly recommend.

We had dinner on Christmas Eve and it was fabulous, the food was as delicious as expected and my daughter has severe food allergies. We initially had trouble determining what she could eat because it was to mango and nutmeg but the server and the chef worked very well with determining what she could eat. They went above and beyond. I loved the braised lamb with Korba Masala. If you’re a drinker, I highly recommend the Horse with No Name drink. Will definitely return again and highly recommend.

I’ve eaten here every few months since it opened. This place is consistently freaking amazing. Well deserved beard award. The Indian-southern-american mashup’s are excellent. Poutine, saag mac & cheese should not be missed. The menu is simple and allows you to basically combine any protein or veggie with any sauce. The ambience is comfy. I’ve brought groups and dates here. The bar is interesting, with a nice selection of mock tails and cocktails. This area of the Gulch is nice not as busy and chaotic as down by division. Pins is not one block down so perfect date night spot. thanks for giving us another amazing Indian place in Nashville!

One of the best meals we’ve had in Tennessee since moving here years ago. Maybe the best? We’ve been looking to visit for a while and this met and exceeded all expectations! Amazing food that wasn’t going to break our bank!
