    Generally speaking, we're not steakhouse people. We tend to be more ethnic restaurants, neighborhood cafes sort. That being said, we had a wonderful dinner at the Chicago Chop House. Service was exemplary with our waitress, Grace, being knowledgeable, helpful, friendly without being intrusive. My husband's filet was melt-in-the-mouth delicious, I took a dive and had my first prime rib in 20 years (superb!), and the ambience just right for a steakhouse.

    You dont get what you pay for in my personal opinion. For 500 bucks you exapect a LOT these days and I was a bit disappointed because Ive been to better and paid half of what I paid this day. My steak was too fatty and taste like liver and the sides were bland. I just wished someone put some love into the food, you know. My lady cooks better than this and I dont have to pay her 500 bucks.

    We had an excellent dining experience on New Year’s Eve! Started with cocktails and bread service, then proceeded to have the shrimp scampi appetizer which was great. We then had the wedge salad which was outstanding, and they also split it for us. For entrees I had a wet-aged filet that was cooked perfectly and topped with a delectable garlic butter sauce, which I added for an extra charge but was well worth it. My boyfriend got the lamp chops with chimmichurri sauce and loved them. We split a side of broccolini sautéed in garlic as well as the loaded mashed potatoes, both were good but would try a different potato next time. To finish the meal we had amazing cappuccinos and the New York style cheesecake was out of this world. Not only was the food great but the ambiance was amazing as well, live piano music and a great atmosphere overall.
