We are excited to announce we are re-opening our doors after a refurbishment and will be ready to welcome all the foodies and cocktail connoisseurs in the City with our signature warm hospitality. Had the pre-theatre menu on a Monday evening , and although the restaurant wasn’t full the kitchen was obviously overwhelmed. Multiple other tables left before food arrived due to running out of time. We had to eat our mains in 5 minutes. Also the vegan (squash) main was disappointing. One positive note - the house wine is great.

Hmmmmm! Rather disappointed. They knew nothing of the London Restaurant Festival Menu that I booked. Food was good enough. Service wasn't bad it just didn't reflect the amount we paid and the type of service I expect for that. And one of my pet hates: We are constantly being asked if everything was alright! I will tell you if it's not don't keep asking me! Please.... all waiting staff stop! Not inexpensive one bit. We were especially rushed out at the end and when you are paying that amount I don't expect that! It will not be on my top ten to return to! And another thing don't ever tell my guest the coffee machine has been turned off! What's that all about? Normally a restaurant can't get enough tea or coffee down you! I have been to a lot of fine dining restaurants and I know what I'm talking about, really not the best. I was expecting good things too.....I have a nose for it!

Looks lovely after the refurb. Nice place to have a drink before as well. Starters and mains were lovely. We had 50%

Overpriced, bad food. So expensive for tiny portions that tasted like microwave ready meal. Very upsetting.

High quality food but portions were small. Three courses were enjoyed by all ten people in our group and not a crumb left on any plate. Quality ingredients which were expertly cooked but many of us left hungry.

Cena tra persone importanti per festeggiare la prima del maestro Gonzales al Barbican. Una ventina di persone dopo il concerto, abbastanza tardi ed in una sala dedicata. Ottimo servizio, cibo buono, tutto bene

Good pre-Theatre menu and service. Tables near the bar a bit noisy. We would go again before an event at the Barbican.

Very good pre theatre set menu although it's rubbish to not offer it to a guest who arrives at 18 32. Our friend was late and was told you need to go a la carte. In the end he just had a soup and had a sandwich at the Barbican later. So the restaurant made less money than if they had offered the menu. This is bad commercial practice and hopefully they will learn from my comment.
