Sushi shares the menu with dry-aged steaks at this bustling, warm-hued chophouse. Chops is proud to present the best in "in-house" dry-aged Prime, American, certified Japanese, and Australian wagyu steaks for less! With over 100 whiskey selections, along with a 350-bottle wine list, creative craft cocktails, and non-alcoholic selections, Chops pays homage to the great American steak house.

Valet parking is available behind Chops City Grill off of 8th Street. Limited parking is offered behind the restaurant, but there is also a free parking garage located on 8th Street and 4th Avenue South for additional parking options.

Incomplete parties will not be seated, so please arrive together. If you anticipate being late, please call. Parties arriving more than 15 minutes late may experience a seating delay.

Only service animals are allowed; pets are not permitted.

Bar opens at 4:30pm and dinner services starts 5:00pm

    Chops is almost always a terrific dining experience. The service was great - kudos to Tyler! We thought the portions on the tasting were pretty small - but they are advertised at 3 oz each - when cooked they just looked quite small. But they were cooked perfectly and tasted really good. The tasting experience would have been better if the person who served it explained to the diners which one was which, but they think they figured out which was which. The Wagyu 5 oz portions were similarly smaller than expected when cooked but delicious. And the roast chicken was about the most flavorful and moist that I’ve had in ages, but the breast portion was also was also fairly small, enough for me. The thigh portion was ok but not as good as the main portion. The Harvey’s Bristol cream just was way better than expected - it was really tasty, I expected it to be kind of sweet but it was delicious. It’s a bit noisy as are most restaurants, yet enjoyed the piano player. And can anyone tell me why so many restaurants refuse to put salt and pepper shakers/grinders on the table? Took a couple,of minutes to catch someone’s eye to get them…if people are walking away with them, at least put them on after people order and clear when you take away their plates….kind of frustrating to wait as the food cools off. Otherwise, great service, great food, if a bit small on the portions. (More room for dessert!)

    As last year we had the booth table we wanted, waitress was amazing, very polite and treated us very nice, she offered a great service, we ate delicious as always, we are looking forward to eat this next December 31st as we now made it a tradition. Thanks !!

    Three of our 4 steak entrees were served cold. We chose to send only one back. It was returned cold again. The server was perturbed that we had the audacity to complain. A manager removed the cost of the entrees but was less than apologetic for a ruined dinner experience. We dine out more than ten times per week. This was an unpleasant New Year’s Eve experience. We would never go to Chops on 5th again.

    we were a party of four and everyone loved their meal except me. I found the steak difficult to chew, some pieces unchewable. Service, table location, and efficiency were otherwise perfect and appreciated.
