Can be overpriced. Although there are many good things about this restaurant, I usually end up frustrated about something. Sometimes it has been that it is freezing cold, sometimes the service has been extremely slow, and often the entrees have come with very little in the way of sides. This time the restaurant was warm and the service was good. The food has been tasty for the most part. I especially like their lamb sausage and their tuna crudo appetizers. The lamb sausage comes with 4 very small slices of pita bread, and really they could increase that for almost no cost. The filet mignon is good, but for the price, they could improve on the few slices of potatoes. My husband had the pork shank and that did come with good sides. What really frustrated me this time was the cost of the margaritas-$20 a piece. I was not expecting that, especially because you can go across the street and you will pay $15 for a very good one, even with reposado tequila. Citrine does have a good wine list. That is probably the safest choice.

A lovely evening with a great special: risotto with beef cheeks, mushrooms and bell peppers. Our server Matthew was knowledgeable about dishes, wines and so accommodating throughout. It was my 75th birthday and I felt so special there.

What a wonderful Thanksgiving meal! We could order off the menu or we could have a traditional thanksgiving meal! So perfect! Lovely space, great service and great food! Wonderful location for looking at Frank Lloyd Wright houses! Highly recommend Citrine Cafe!
